Beware! Malicious players can softlock your online battles by Terastallizing an Ogerpon into an impossible Tera Type. Their intent is to grief/gain rank by making you disconnect before them. GF needs to update the online hack checks to prevent these Ogerpon from going online!

I don't know when it happened, but Ogerpon with the wrong Tera Type are now blocked from going online! A game patch was unnecessary since they can change the online filters serverside; this is why new Mystery Gifts often take a day or two to become tradeable.

Context for those who have not played the DLC: Ogerpon is the only Pokémon who can not have its Tera Type changed, as its Tera Type is dependent on its current mask (only ever Grass, Water, Fire, or Rock).

You can't do this in-game, but people who are abusing this are using external tools to hack the Tera Type.

I didn't bother to wait that long for a proof-of-concept, since it felt bad to do already versus random, innocent players. The hope is that it gets fixed soon enough that it won't matter.
