We're making doctors' appointments more accessible, ending the 8am scramble, with satisfaction up ⬆️ We're working with Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov to ensure housing developers contribute to the healthcare needs of communities. AND we've invested an extra £1.1bn in GPs. This is change in action.

Thanks to the contract we negotiated with GPs in February, 98% of practices now offer an online appts service 8am-6.30pm. Patient satisfaction with access to their GP has leapt from 61% in July 2024 to 74% today. We said we’d end the 8am scramble, and that’s what we’re doing.

A survey of 2,000 GPs in England.. 4 in 5 are struggling to find work.. 1 in 3 are leaving the NHS" Dr Katie Bramail-Stainer, "This has been a problem for 10 months.. We've told Conservative ministers.. We've told the department of health.. And it's got worse" "The income going into GP practices is dropping.. They are cut to the bone.. They have no resources" Victoria Macdonald, "£1.4 billion has been ring fenced for physios, paramedics or physician associates (fake GPs).. So practices have no choice but to employ them instead of GPs and nurses" Dr Suzanne Gaskell, "Locum GPs who have never struggled to find shifts are struggling to find anything at all..
