Is the debate whether or not the car driver should be punched in the face or stomach?

That’s some of the debate but it is mostly centered around if the truck made any reasonable effort to avoid this

Car made an illegal U-Turn over a double yellow. Cars fault, zero argument there. I don't know how that's debatable.

It’s ultimately up to the car to wait to safely make a turn into traffic. But I believe the trucker was inexperienced and/or made poor decisions. 1st pic is when the trucker acknowledged the car was doing something, he has started to let off the throttle about half. (Bottom graph) 2nd pic he’s off the throttle and touching the brake pedal (white n red line across bottom) 3 rd pic just before impact only dropped 4 mph despite foot on brake, so they chose to avoid by steering vs braking hard. 28 yrs experience I’d have started braking immediately when he only took foot half off throttle and I’d have hard braked if needed should never have been close. Just my opinion from my exp, this shit happens all the time. The car would have gotten a good blast of air horn and foul language from me.

@TimothyDooner trucker should have seen the car coming and hit the brakes but kept steady in the 30s. They both share fault.
