The lad was at fault. If he’s not old enough to be aware of his surroundings and make good decisions then his guardians are at fault for not looking after him. It’s not for an athlete who’s spent years training to lose because of this. Others watching can care for him if need be.

The parent of the child for not keeping them off the track. It's not fair for the runner to be disqualified for avoiding a child which should not be in the way, and it's not fair to expect everyone at the event to redo the race. Also the runner did try to avoid the child.

He didn’t push the kid looks like he crossed lanes and still ran into the kid. Should have just stayed in the same lane.

The sprinter can get seriously hurt if he try’s to stop running at full speed, you can see they have some sort of rope in the shot to make sure non-coaches are not by the track

There are 3 people at fault here. The child, for misbehaving. The child’s parents, for not supervising their child. @_coconutts, for posting stupid crap like this and asking “Who’s at fault?” as if it wasn’t obvious.

If that was my kid id look at him and ask, "What did you learn?" I woulda already said, "Get the fuck off the track right now!" And grabbed the back of his shirt to pull him off.

The child jumped into the racetrack, was there for a couple of seconds and no one realised? All guardians & parents there should be arrested for negligence.
