if i could ask, is there an app in production or is it all on web for the time being?

Im here! 👋🧝‍♀️ Short answer: web app for now, mobile app in production. BUT it’s also a PWA hehe Long answer: our beta app ddocs is built on fileverse middleware, and by design it’s also a PWA - ie u can install it on your phone or computer, it works even offline, all without the contraint of downloading it from a centralsied App Store. It’s possible because ddocs is built on local primitives. Right now you can try it out on mobile and desktop 🍓 It’s a first version, more polishing needed. Is there anything specific you are trying to do? I can ask the devs for help!

Hey, I like using dDocs for private collaborative fiction writing with some buds, but is there a possibility File verse might provide some other ways to upgrade storage space? It would be nice to have that extra margin of space.

Yaaaaaaay 🧚‍♀️🔥 The focus of our public beta app is super private multiplayer collaboration! Everything is end-to-end encrypted and we can’t know who ur bugs are when u collaborate. Once we’re completed with the last upgrades, users will be able to add private storage on top of the free storage given by default 💛 🍓In the meantime, is there anything you would like us to add or tweak to make it even better for your group? 🥝 Have you tried the local shortcut that works like an app?

For the most part, dDocs is fairly great for the kind of writing a majority of users are going to use it for. Though, I do have some feedback to share that would be too long for X: If you guys do SimpleX Chat, I'd also be happy to talk or discuss there.
