🚨🇷🇺 NATO IN PANIC: RUSSIA UNVEILS DAN-T JET-POWERED STRIKE DRONE BUILT TO BYPASS AIR DEFENSES Russia has unveiled the Dan-T, a combat-proven air-launched strike drone capable of hitting targets up to 450 km away while following a dedicated flight profile designed to evade enemy air defenses. Presented publicly for the first time at the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt, Dan-T is not a showroom prototype. Russia’s state-owned defense conglomerate Rostec says its effectiveness has already been demonstrated through hundreds of successful launches against enemy targets. 🔸 Jet-powered attack: Unlike slower propeller-driven loitering munitions, Dan-T uses a compact turbojet engine to reach higher cruising speeds, reducing the time available for air defenses to detect and intercept it. 🔸 Long-range reach: With a range of up to 450 km, the weapon allows aircraft and helicopters to launch strikes far from the target area while remaining farther from enemy air defenses. 🔸 Multiple launch platforms: Dan-T can be carried by Russian and foreign aircraft and helicopters, allowing the weapon to approach targets from different directions without depending on a single specialized carrier. 🔸 Fire-and-forget: Once released, Dan-T continues toward its target autonomously without requiring constant operator control or an uninterrupted command link. 🔸 Built to evade defenses: Rostec says the weapon has a special flight mode for bypassing air-defense systems, complicating detection and interception on the way to its target. 🔸 Already tested in combat: Hundreds of successful launches have given Russian engineers operational data to refine the weapon long before its international debut. Dan-T combines the reach and speed of a cruise missile with the flexibility and potentially lower cost of a strike drone. Aircraft and helicopters become mobile launch points, while the weapon continues independently after release. The key advantage is mass: Russia can add jet-powered autonomous weapons to mixed strike waves containing drones and cruise missiles, forcing air defenses to track more targets approaching at different speeds and from different directions. Every additional target consumes attention, radar capacity and an interceptor that may cost far more than the weapon it destroys. Could Dan-T give Russia a cheaper way to overwhelm NATO air defenses?

🚨🇺🇦🇷🇺 Ukraine is intercepting only about 60% of Russia’s new jet-powered Geran-4 and Geran-5 attack drones, compared with roughly 95% of the slower piston-powered Geran-2s, according to the Financial Times. The newer models are fast enough to blur the line between kamikaze drones and low-cost cruise missiles. Geran-4s can reportedly reach around 450–500 km/h with a 50 kg warhead and a range of roughly 600–700 km, while the larger Geran-5 can approach 550–600 km/h, carry around 90 kg and fly close to 1,000 km. The new drones also use electro-optical and thermal targeting, allowing them to identify specific targets during the terminal phase instead of relying only on pre-programmed coordinates. Unconfirmed reports suggest the latest versions may also process imagery onboard with AI-based algorithms, potentially helping them navigate and attack even under heavy GPS/GLONASS jamming. Geran-5 can reportedly be launched not only from ground systems but also from Su-25 aircraft. 🔥 The speed increase is the real headache for Ukraine. These drones are much harder for mobile air-defense teams and conventional interceptor drones to catch, forcing Kyiv to rely more heavily on fighter aircraft and other expensive defenses. Ukrainian companies are already developing specialized jet-powered interceptor drones in response. Russia’s production has apparently expanded so far that even Iran has asked Moscow for jet-powered Gerans for its own needs, a remarkable reversal from the early phase of the war when Russia was the side importing Shahed technology.

🚨🇺🇦🇮🇷THE DRONE WARS ARE REWRITING HOW THE WORLD FIGHTS For decades, military power meant expensive hardware: stealth jets, cruise missiles, precision weapons costing millions. Ukraine and Iran just proved something uncomfortable: You can challenge that power with $20,000 drones. Iran’s Shahed drones, now used heavily by Russia in Ukraine, cost roughly $20,000 to $50,000 and are built to be produced in huge numbers. Launch dozens at once and even the most advanced air defenses struggle to keep up. Shooting them down with multimillion-dollar interceptors quickly becomes a losing economic battle. Ukraine has faced tens of thousands of these drones since 2022 and has been forced to improvise a new style of warfare in response. Instead of relying solely on expensive missile systems, Ukrainian forces developed cheaper counters: machine-gun teams, electronic warfare. interceptor drones costing only a few thousand dollars. The lesson is spreading fast. Countries watching the Ukraine war, and Iran’s growing drone campaigns in the Middle East, are realizing the future battlefield won’t be dominated by a handful of exquisite weapons. It will be dominated by swarms of cheap ones. Factories, not fighter jets, may decide wars. And the real contest will be economic: who can produce drones, interceptors, and countermeasures faster and cheaper. The drone wars in Ukraine and Iran aren’t just regional conflicts; they’re the world’s first glimpse of a new military reality. One where air power no longer belongs only to nations that can afford billion-dollar air forces.

Russian report: Gulf air defenses face a “million-dollar missile vs. a drone costing a few thousand dollars” dilemma The Russian Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade published a study and analysis concluding that Gulf states’ reliance on long-range U.S. air defense systems against low-cost threats such as attack drones creates a significant gap between the cost of the attack and the cost of interception. The center noted that an Iranian Shahed-136 drone is estimated to cost around $20,000–$50,000 , while a PAC-3 interceptor missile can cost approximately $4 million , making the interception of large-scale drone attacks extremely expensive. The report argues that systems such as Patriot and THAAD were largely designed to counter long-range threats and ballistic missiles, while Gulf states need diversified defensive layers, including short- and medium-range systems to counter drones, cruise missiles, and low-altitude targets. The center proposed strengthening air defenses with Russian systems such as Buk-M3 “Viking” for medium-range defense, Tor for short-range defense, and Pantsir-S1M to protect critical infrastructure from close-range threats. According to the report, combining long-, medium-, and short-range systems could increase the number of engagement channels and reduce the depletion of costly interceptor missiles, particularly around oil refineries, desalination plants, ports, and energy facilities. The Russian center concludes that addressing the cost gap between offensive weapons and interceptors could make large-scale drone attacks less economically viable by building a layered defense system capable of countering threats at a more balanced cost.

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN'S DRONES ARE THE WEST'S WORST NIGHTMARE: Hadid 110 vs Shahed 136 Iran's drone technology has evolved significantly, with its first combat use of the new Hadid 110 last month—a high-speed, stealth drone that enhances Iran's offensive capabilities. While the Shahed 136 was revolutionary for its low-cost, mass-saturation approach, the Hadid 110 marks a shift towards more advanced, precise, and faster loitering munitions. 🔸 Hadid 110’s turbojet engine hits speeds of 510 km/h, far outpacing the Shahed 136’s 185 km/h. This speed gives it a clear advantage against traditional missile defense systems. 🔸 Shahed 136 pioneered cost-efficient swarm tactics, flooding defenses with overwhelming numbers — but the Hadid 110 now breaks through with stealth features and precision strikes, proving speed and survival matter more than sheer volume. 🔸 Iran’s Hadid 110 has cutting-edge radar evasion, designed to penetrate advanced defense systems, making it a lethal high-speed missile that even Israel and the US struggle to intercept. 🔸 While Shaheds still play a crucial role in mass attacks, the Hadid 110 takes on high-value, heavily-defended targets, like radar stations and military infrastructure, with its 30 kg payload and 350 km range — a far cry from its predecessor’s capabilities. US and Israel’s reliance on outdated interception methods is increasingly obsolete as Iran adapts its drones to counter these systems. How can the West win if Iran’s drones evolve faster than their defenses?
