Now roll it a little. I guarantee there is a pebble inside one of the wheels

The year was 1974. The machine: a Big Wheel, sun-bleached and indestructible. The driver: seven years old, shoeless, operating on Kool Aid and bad ideas. Legend says the first drift wasn’t discovered, it was accidental. A sharp turn at the bottom of the cul-de-sac. A panic grab of the hand brake. The rear wheel locked. Physics blinked. The Big Wheel slid sideways in a perfect, glorious arc. Time slowed. The neighborhood fell silent as melted plastic screamed against concrete. When the dust settled, the rider looked back, nodded once, and said nothing, because true pioneers never explain themselves. Drifting didn’t start in the mountains. It started at the bottom of a suburban driveway, at 12 mph, with plastic wheels, scraped elbows, and absolutely no concern for resale value.

Mine was Dukes of Hazard. I tried to ride to the store. We lived on a highway. I got in so much trouble with that thing. But it was worth it.

Lucky 😅

The reason I got in so much trouble was because my little brother came with me. He followed me on his. Right down the shoulder of the highway. We probably made close to 3/4 of a mile before we were stopped. The hill was a lot of fun. 🤣

I saw a clip a while back. Where they make adult sizes now. Could you imagine if we rode them today?😅😂. They'd probably make regulations for helmets 🤣no thanks. Its a ride or die toy .

Now if you look up big wheels, you have to buy directly from their company...and most of them have no handbrake.

Later model. The first was red & yellow. I loved that darn thing! Then the green machine came out. Still preferred the original big wheel.
