Have we learned nothing from the cane toad disaster that devastated our native wildlife? We cannot risk another catastrophic experiment with Australia's delicate ecosystem. Our environment is still paying the price for past mistakes. We don't need billionaires pushing unnecessary trials that could harm our unique ecosystem. The Australian people deserve better than being treated as a testing ground for global experiments.

Australians are waking up the worst best-kept secret in Australia: the fact that abortion up to birth is legal in Australia and that a baby in-utero has no human rights protection throughout all 40 weeks of pregnancy. The fact that a baby can be killed right up until their due date is shocking and makes our laws the most extreme in the world. Last year our bill to ban abortion in the third trimester (between 28-40 weeks) lost by one vote but we got extraordinarily close in our bid to protect these babies.
