Since Cavemen, most of society revolved around food, shelter & protection of women--to not be stolen, raped, their children killed--because they birth the next generation. A clan would vanish without them. So, the separation of duties is natural & purposeful. Today nearly everything is open to everyone, yet certain truths are inescapable, no matter how hard some try.
