Bill Maher can't understand why Sophie Cunningham is getting so much flak for saying women shouldn't compete against biological men. CUNNINGHAM: "I am here to extend love, but I also think that love is truth and being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room... show more

![Bill Maher: “The Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham… She said I got a lot of feedback and negative feedback about me hating tr*ns. She didn’t say she hated tr*ns.” “She said, ‘I am here to extend love but I also think that love is truth and being honest and I want to protect young girls in the locker room or young girls in sport, who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.’” “Again, this is where, what, 80% of the country is?” Matt Welch: “And [former tennis player] Martina Navratilova is and has been for a long time. Prominent athlete and l*sbian.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2086182042786505054/amplify_video_thumb/2086181843762651136/img/mP5ZT9fMJz3UeQcO.jpg)
![Bill Maher MOCKS Democrats for the “crazy stuff” that is STILL costing them elections: “They can’t define a woman,” and “they think the WNBA should be full of men.” He says the country thinks they “lost their minds.” MAHER: “The Democrats made it a lot easier for [Republicans] by harping on cultural issues where the country thought they had lost their minds. I feel like the elections we’re having these days are still that.” “The Democrats are saying, ‘These guys are crooks, and inflation is still high. We can do better, and we can give you healthcare.’ And the other people are saying, ‘Yeah, but they want to get rid of Thanksgiving. We like Thanksgiving.’” “And then they can’t define a woman, and they think the WNBA should be full of men, and just crazy stuff. And so they kind of opened the door for that.” A New York Times/Ipsos poll found 79% of Americans say trans athletes should not compete in women’s sports. That includes 94% of Republicans and even 67% of Democrats. The party is losing this issue with its own base and still won’t drop it.](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2091046958056010157/amplify_video_thumb/2091046759296319488/img/Q1RgBLiYJVBt3Ktw.jpg)
![Watch Stephen A. Smith win over Bill Maher’s audience with a brutal response to the Olympics banning trans athletes from women’s sports. MAHER: “I imagine this is going to be… another [issue] where you can make Democrats die on the hill that they died on last time.” SMITH: “If it’s an issue within the Democratic Party, that’s their own damn problem.” “Biological men should not be competing against biological girls in sports, PERIOD.” “I don’t want to get in the way of anybody’s civil rights, civil liberties, or anything like that. But what about protecting the young ladies? Young ladies going up against men, you know, biological men. There is no excuse for that.” “And by the way… Lia Thomas (the swimmer) was ranked over 400th in the world.” “And then he became a she… and NUMBER ONE!” “Well, damn it. Does it really take an Einstein to realize that there’s something wrong with that picture?!” [Bill Maher and the room break out in laughter] “I mean, are we kidding ourselves?!”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2037733575097757926/amplify_video_thumb/2037730811659890688/img/y8uEw1IqISdpcecY.jpg)
![🚨 JUST IN: Press secretary Karoline Leavitt DEFENDS Sophie Cunningham after she got attacked by the transgender cult for declaring "NO MEN IN WOMEN'S SPORTS" "[President Trump] is following [her] story! Men should not be playing in women's sports. It's completely ludicrous that anyone could support that." "It's even more ludicrous that you do have Sophia Cunningham, a female athlete herself, very accomplished in her own right, coming forth and speaking that truth, that men should play in women's sports. We want to protect women and girls — and the backlash she is receiving from Democrats and left wing fingers across the country is astonishing!" "They are clearly very out of touch with the American public on this issue, which again is an 80-20 issue." "It's common sense. It's rooted in basic biological fact that men should not be competing against women on playing fields across the country." Never bow to the mob! 👏🏻](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2080319051247595736/amplify_video_thumb/2080318739396939776/img/4BiZiRMBiLC_M09Y.jpg)
![Karoline Leavitt reveals that President Trump is closely following the story of WNBA star Sophie Cunningham after she declared it’s “common sense” to keep male athletes out of women’s sports. Despite relentless left wing and media backlash, Cunningham says she isn’t backing down. CUNNINGHAM: “I said what I said, I think it’s kind of common sense.” “And I think I’ll always believe in that. I think it’s really important to protect children and that’s little girls, who are also involved in that category.” “So I stand on what I said and I’m going to always belive that.” LEAVITT: “I don’t believe he [Trump] has reached out to her. I know he is following the story.” “As you know, this is something the president feels strongly about as well. And the American people do, too, that men should not be playing in women’s sports.” “It’s completely ludicrous that anyone could support that. It’s even more ludicrous that you do have Sophia [Sophie] Cunningham, a female athlete herself, very accomplished in her own right, coming forth and speaking that truth that men shouldn’t play in women’s sports.” “We want to protect women and girls. And the backlash she is receiving from Democrats and left wing figures across the country is astonishing.” “They are clearly very out of touch with the American public on this issue, which again, is an 80/20 issue.” “It’s common sense…”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2080345973130223682/amplify_video_thumb/2080344032161488896/img/5-xFDUYhQ_PrzqgK.jpg)
