Seen this RTÉ archive on TikTok this evening and couldn’t go without sharing it!! In 1987, Aer Lingus operated a special flight for the children of Ballymun as part of International Children’s Day. They hosted 400 primary school kids and took them up on a Boeing B747 for a spin over Ballymun and the east coast. The flight was called the ‘Ballymun Special’ under the Flight number EI2992. The great thing was that Aer Lingus, Aer Rianta and Cie didn’t charge a thing for this experience! Just announced! I'll be playing at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough on June 8th. ❤️ It's truly unbelievable. I don't think that I can put it into words. As someone who came to the Riverside as a young lad with a season ticket and walked through the turnstiles, it’s just crazy to think that people are going to be walking through the turnstiles to watch me perform. It’s very much like the end of a movie, a full circle moment. It has been bit of a pipe dream of mine to play The Riverside; I'm really honoured. Stephen Colbert tried to take a shot at Trump’s Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Brian Christine during his last show — but the joke fell completely flat with his own audience as he stuttered through it. A group claiming to be organisers for the March for Australia rally on August 31 has scrambled overnight to distance itself from Thomas Sewell, who is linked to the NSN leadership and the White Australia organization, after Sewell claimed the rally as one of theirs. This comes as media and government attention has been drawn to the group that participated in what they described as a "Nazi" march through the city of Melbourne last week at 1 a.m. Unfortunately, attempts to hijack genuine concerns of Australians and link them to Nazism have been aided by these groups, which are desperate for relevance and attention. I still personally believe this does not reflect the intentions of the majority of people who are trying to come together at this rally to show their love for Australia and express concerns over issues like mass immigration.
