Black Americans do NOT need reparations. We need better money habits. Too many of us focus on looking rich instead of actually being rich. We are largely a consumer culture, not an ownership culture. Closing the wealth gap will not happen through checks from the government. It will happen through financial literacy, investing, and better decision making. Black Americans had record spending power in 2021 and still saw net worth decline. Read that again. That should tell us exactly where the problem really is.

This wasn't "the white man". This wasn't racism. This wasn't the system. This was black people harming black people. We have a serious problem. The same energy we would have if it was a group of white people doing this to a black mom and her child is the same energy we need to have now. Those children need to be held accountable and parents need to be doing a MUCH better job. This is completely unacceptable. We need to be more accountable and make better decisions. Our standard is FAR TOO LOW.

Gary Chambers Less talk about republicans, racism, slavery, and the white man. More talk about what WE are doing. How are WE messing up? Where do WE need to be better? There's too much energy put into the first things I mentioned and not enough energy put into the latter.
