Black progress has never come from comfort — it’s come from friction. From pressure. From making those who oppress us feel the weight of our resistance. It really is the logical move to just assume it was all of you. But it’s not racism it’s not that we hate you cuz you’re black. Many in white America hate when Black people talk about race, but their whole political model is designed to help one race over everyone else. It’s all a mind game. Trying to trick you into thinking something is wrong with you talking about your history and heritage. They don’t want you to discuss your history because it proves that the stories they tell are lies. Black America isn’t asking you to feel bad for the past, we are demanding that you be true to what you said on paper! We aren’t ignoring the transgressions of your generation that align with the actions of your ancestors. We also know that if we are to maintain the freedoms we fought for it requires us to tell the truth on America. This is why I’m never apologizing for talking about race, or demanding more from this nation, our state, and local governments. I will continue to fight for and protect Black people, live in a Black community, support Black business, and love on Black people out loud. I won’t ever stop believing in the brilliance of Black people. And if you have no issue with his comments you should is have none with mine. We should all be able to be proud of our heritage right? Real talks, hard talks, loud coaching, expectations, and learning from mistakes are all part of the process. You can’t be weak in this sport. Its HARD!! It’s important to understand that a coach who is strict, gets loud, pushes you, and holds you accountable is doing it because they care. They see something in you and they refuse to let you settle for less. Growth doesn’t come from comfort. It comes from being challenged, corrected, and pushed to a higher standard.

Why keep chasing people who wouldn’t even notice if you disappeared? You twist yourself trying to be what they like… and in the process, you lose who you are. You stop loving yourself, just to feel accepted by people who don’t really care. But ask yourself—what do you actually gain from that? Validation that fades? Fake love you had to earn by being someone you’re not? Real peace comes when you stop chasing and start choosing you. And the right people—the ones who matter— they’ll never ask you to change just to be seen.
