Blender soft body simulations are great for animating squishy things like cells, but they break if you make cells divide. So I'm building my own cell growth soft body simulator from the ground up in blender geometry nodes. Hope to release this tool soon. #b3d

Thanks! Yup, it can handle arbitrary starting shapes (although I think right now the stretch and bend physics will tend to bring it back to spherical without other collisions acting on it). I'm hoping to build in something like "target shapes"

Cool! I’m not very experienced with creating geometry nodes but I’ve always wanted to find/modify or have someone build some kind of blender geometry setup for expanding sprayfoam, I create content for that industry and be cool to have real foam that gets sprayed and grows

That definitely sounds like something that this setup would be a good foundation for. I'll definitely keep that type of application in mind as I build up the tool.
