Internationals should be played in a set period over the summer with qualifiers for the next tournament played the year before the competition starts. This would reduce the matches played during the season and gives the players the much needed rest they constantly bang on about.

Such an English centric answer 😂 suppose the Argentines and Brazilian could just do that all in a week as well then 😂 it sounds great but not in any way practical

I’ve been saying for years… scrap the breaks and the season will finish 4-6 weeks earlier then have a qualifying tournament for either Euro/Workd Cup. Would still leave around 4-6 weeks rest after before leagues start again.
