.JD Vance did not address Tucker Carlson last night RJC. But he repeated a very particular Tucker argument. On anti-Semitism, no less. The source had to be Tucker because only Tucker makes the specific claim — precisely because it is so Biblically illiterate that no serious religious figure would make it. Vance repeated almost entirely Tucker's stock explanation that he can't be anti-Semitic because Christianity rejects the concept of blood guilt, or the notion of sins passing from the father to the son. Crucially, the idea that Christianity opposes anti-Semitism because the Gospel rejects "blood guilt" is uniquely Tucker Carlson's, at least among public figures or published works. No one else relies on this argument for two reasons: (1) It's Biblically illiterate, ignoring that it originated as a Jewish concept (Deut. 24:16, Ezek. 18:20, etc.), and (2) Tucker primarily uses it to lie about Judaism (that it DOES believe in blood guilt) and claim that the Jewish state wants to kill Palestinian children on religious grounds. Vance exhibited the same Biblical ignorance when he cited only to the Christian Gospel for the rejection of sins of the father.
