Here's my conversation all about AI in 2026, including technical breakthroughs, scaling laws, closed & open LLMs, programming & dev tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, etc), China vs US competition, training pipeline details (pre-, mid-, post-training), rapid evolution of LLMs, work culture, diffusion, robotics, tool use, compute (GPUs, TPUs, clusters), continual learning, long context, AGI timelines (including how stuff might go wrong), advice for beginners, education, a LOT of discussion about the future, and other topics. It's a great honor and pleasure for me to be able to do this kind of episode with two of my favorite people in the AI community: 1. Sebastian Raschka (Sebastian Raschka) 2. Nathan Lambert (Nathan Lambert) They are both widely-respected machine learning researchers & engineers who also happen to be great communicators, educators, writers, and X posters. This was a whirlwind conversation: everything from the super-technical to the super-fun. It's here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment). 14 PEAKS NO O2 – Forever grateful for your support. On 4th, I stood on the summit of Shishapangma along with the fixing team from Mingma G – a poignant and heartfelt moment I am still trying to find the words for. After 14 Peaks I wanted to continue to motivate and inspire and show that there are always more things to achieve and do in life. I dedicate this climb and new records to the memory of my dear mum and dad and Anna and Mingmar. I now become the fastest person to climb all 14 Peaks without supplementary oxygen (2 years 4 months and 28 days) as well as the fastest person to climb 14 Peaks with both O2 and no O2 together – in 5 years, 5 months and 12 days (23rd April 2019 to 4th October 2024.) I’m so proud to have stood on the summit with my brother and K2Winter legend Ming Ma.g – who completes his 14 Peaks no O2 mission too – we become the first Nepalese to achieve this! (Tribute post incoming soon on this legend!) No competition, just teamwork and huge respect! My mission has always been to raise the name of Nepal and all the Big Mountain climbing community and to inspire people across the world to know that nothing is impossible. Even if you have the most humble background, if you work hard and dream big, you can achieve your dreams. It is a privilege to represent the mountaineering community in this and achieve these new records. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and shown my team love – I am so grateful. You are all forever part of these summits and successes! #14peaksnoo2 #nimsdai #eliteexped #Shishapangma #sevensummits #nimsdaifoundation #k2winter #nimsdaistore #14Peaks #AchieveYourNewPossible #NothingIsImpossible #14PeaksNothingIsImpossible #Gurkha #BeyondPossible #MotivationalSpeaker

-> those who move early -> on this will capture the -> biggest upside this year -> ai content in 2026 is now -> so good that even creators -> can’t always tell what they -> made vs what ai made -> that shift opens up -> massive opportunity -> what the numbers actually -> look like right now -> brands are paying $300– -> $2,000 per month for -> 30–60 ai-generated -> short videos affiliate -> pages using ai content -> are hitting 50k–500k -> views/month with -> 0.5%–2% ctr to offers -> 1 person + ai tools can -> now produce 100+ pieces -> of content per week -> vs 5–10 pieces manually -> cost per video dropped -> from $200–$500 with -> agencies to $5–$50 with -> ai + shot on iphone style -> brands and affiliates are -> already using this to grow -> organic tiktok, reels, and -> youtube shorts pages -> most of these tools + -> workflows only went -> mainstream in the -> last 30–90 days -> like every platform shift -> first 6–12 months = lowest -> competition, highest reach -> after that, the market -> gets crowded, the play -> isn’t “ai makes you a -> millionaire overnight” -> the play is, learn the -> system early, lock in 3–5 -> brand retainers at $1,500– -> $3,000/month each, and -> compound before -> everyone else catches up -> production is cheap now -> strategy + distribution -> the real product -> want me to map out -> what “early” actually -> means with a 30-day -> action plan + numbers

a Chinese PhD dropout told me Wall Street is solving the wrong equation on purpose i met him through a girl i was seeing in hong kong. he hadn't had a real job in three years. "every bank. every fund. every quant lab. they all try to predict where BTC goes next. up or down. that's the wrong question" i asked what the right question is. "who is mispricing the reaction" he opened his phone. showed me Polymarket. "288 BTC markets per day. every 5 minutes. YES or NO. the crowd bets direction. direction doesn't matter. what matters is the spread between YES and NO when the crowd panics" he drew on a napkin. "YES at 79c. NO at 22c. combined $1.01. fair. then someone dumps $3,000 on YES. it spikes to 96c. NO crashes to 5c. that's 17 cents of free alpha sitting there for 4 minutes" "Wall Street builds billion dollar models to predict direction. i buy the panic. different equation. different result" i flew home. opened a Chinese AI. typed what he told me. "build a spread capture engine for Polymarket 5-minute BTC markets. buy the underpriced side when crowd panic creates a gap. never predict direction" 30,800 stars. multi-agent LLM trading framework. the AI adapted it for prediction markets overnight. NERVE GRID. 6 pairs. BTC. ETH. SOL. AVAX. 400+ windows per day. edge table live: BTC+100K 5m. 79c vs 22c. +27c edge. BTC<99K. 35c vs 27c. +8c edge. ETH+3.8K. 46c vs 30c. +12c edge. SOL+200 5m. 55c vs 22c. +22c edge. the system kills 2,986 setups per day. enters 563. avg hold 1:02. wins are 4.51x the losses. fill rate 96.4%. avg latency 15ms. best fill 9ms. +$4,847 from $600 seed. infrastructure: $20 AI. $5 VPS. everything else open source. $25/month. i copied the setup here: texted him two weeks later with a screenshot. "you're running the panic equation?" the AI built it from one conversation. "good. now try ETH and SOL. bigger spreads. less competition" i already was. he could see it in the screenshot. long pause. "you learn fast for someone who asks the right questions" i didn't ask any questions. i just listened.

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨 We’ve just filed a lawsuit against CNN to protect FREE SPEECH during the Trump vs Biden debate. CNN’s refusal to allow independent commentary stifles diverse voices and violates fair competition. This is not just about a debate; it’s about preserving the integrity of public discourse in America. 👉 We demand that CNN allow independent voices to provide live commentary. Americans deserve to hear from all sides, especially on such a crucial day. We will NOT stand by as CNN ignores non-partisan norms, silences candidates with mic mutes and a lack of in-studio audience, silences independent media, and silences public commentary during the debate by banning streamers and Youtubers from covering the event. This is corporate discrimination, unfair competition, a felony under the Antitrust Act, violates FCC regulations, violates the Communications Act of 1934, violates the First Amendment, and violates the fair use doctrine. All we ask is that CNN allow independent creators to comment on the debate stream, so that Americans can listen to the commentary, fact-checkers, or whomever they'd like to, during one of the most critical days in America's history. CNN's censorship is unAmerican and unDemocratic. By silencing debate commentary and threatening DMCA takedowns of the debate stream, CNN destroys the public forum which is a Presidential Debate. They ruin election integrity and they rob Americans of critical perspective at the most-critical time: DURING the debate. Want no commentary? Go to CNN. Want Fox's opinion? Listen on Fox News. Want Patrick Bet-David, Tim Pool, Breaking Points Commentary, or David Pakman Show? You should have the right to choose and listen to their commentary DURING the most critical moments. We will not stand by and do nothing. We will fight for what's right in America. We will pay for it. We will lead the fight against the corruption of CNN. This isn't even the first time CNN's tried to silence me. But the censorship ends NOW. 🚨Retweet and share to help us get an emergency injunction today! This is critical for America!!! 🚨 I hope to stream on X, Twitch, and YouTube my debate commentary today. See you soon.

I talked with Liv Boeree—science communicator, former professional poker player, and host of the Win-Win Podcast—about how she sees the world. We discussed the nature of personal identity across sleep, the teleportation machine thought experiment, consciousness as a self-aware story-threading entity, the "attention as cursor of consciousness" framing, Jim's memory-competition theory of attention, Gerald Edelman and Daniel Dennett as proponents of competitive models, the Telepathy Tapes podcast and nonverbal autistic children, Donald Hoffman's view that consciousness is foundational, panpsychism and the "radio tuner" model, Liv's poker premonition story and a $1,700,000 tournament win, two flavors of consciousness and psychedelics as a way of dialing into different frequencies, poker as spanning pure luck to pure skill, the data revolution in poker and the rise of game-theory robots, poker as an egregore and the idea that "the game is playing me," probability at micro vs. macro scales, egregores defined as beings in meme space, Moloch as the personification of multipolar traps, Instagram face filters as a micro Moloch example, the Moloch mechanism of individually rational but collectively destructive action, Scott Alexander's "Meditations on Moloch," the breakfast cereal Moloch as a case study, the three interlocked layers of the AI multipolar trap, Marc Andreessen's techno-accelerationism and its blind spots, introducing "Norma" as the second negative attractor state representing centralization and authoritarianism, Moloch and Norma feeding into each other, psychopaths as first movers in Molochian races, the obligate psychopath concept, Elinor Ostrom's work on managing the commons, zero-knowledge proofs as a win-win third path, Descartes' philosophical origin of Western indifference to animal suffering, expanding the moral circle, the conditions of factory-farmed pigs and the economics of gestation crates, the health and environmental consequences of factory farming, cultivated meat as the win-win solution, and much more.
