Blue Origin’s pad is still burning. The Horizontal Integration Facility (HIF) building was significantly impacted. It likely held two second stages, and at one other first stage booster. The cast iron Cape Canaveral Lighthouse ( c.1868), which is VERY close, is still active!

Launch table is out. The two-million-pound launch table is heading to the Integration Facility for inspection and adjustments to support our future ConOps. Once reinstalled at the pad, it'll be outfitted with the first stage aft umbilicals and tied into the water system, which delivers water injection just below the engine nozzles.

However, the second stage encountered an anomaly during its second ignition. As a result, the BlueBird 7 satellite by AST SpaceMobile was placed into a lower-than-planned orbit and is expected to eventually re-enter and burn up in the atmosphere. The re-entry of the second stage is likely what caused the bright fiery trail seen in the sky over Kyiv.

The 120,000-square-foot building is slated to open in early 2028 and can support 16 missions annually for a mix of national security, civil and commercial payloads.

This is still one of my favorite "one-shots" from this early era of FNF modding. "Below The Depths" or "Sink" is very visually interesting, with the two Sonic sprites and BG/effects. And the song by Blackberri is still very catchy! And it STILL works on Psych Engine 1.0.3!!!

It is great Blue Origin landed a booster on a drone ship for the second time and was able to achieve partial reuse of a booster. Unfortunately we are learning that the AST satellite has been lost. Looks like they are still having issues with the NG upper stage. Hope they are able to resolve them soon!

LandSpace's Zhuque-3 lifted off from northwest China on August 19, 2026, delivered the Honghu-03 satellite to orbit and then flew its first stage roughly 390 km downrange to a landing pad, touching down on four legs. It is China's first booster recovery on land, and it comes only six weeks after a state-built Long March 10B was snagged in a net on a ship at sea. The catch is that Zhuque-3's own first flight in December ended with the booster crashing beside the pad.

🚨 BREAKING: In a press conference just now, MPD states officers encountered haze that significantly limited their visibility in the apartment building. Three officers were injured, two by gunfire. Two individuals died on scene, one was the suspected shooter. Four additional individuals were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds, one of them died at the hospital. One officer is still in surgery, the other two were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
