Blues Brothers ~ Soul Man

An “all-star” back up band if there ever was one. Paul Schaefer-keyboards Steve Cropper-guitar Matt Murphy-guitar Donald ‘Duck’ Dunn-Bass Lou Marini-horns Alan Rubin-horns Willie ‘Too Big” Hall-drums Just to name some.

John Belushi, the world is a lesser place without you.

My girlfriend and I were on the couch watching SNL that evening when this debuted. We weren't sure if it was another comedy skit or what when it started, but then we realized it was for real. And it was real good.

This is outstanding on so many levels: how young they were, how much cross talent they had, how good the music was since the STAX musicians were both the inspiration and the artists on stage.

Dan Aykroyd is one hell of a dancer 😉

I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of musicians and entertainers, and I always prided myself on not becoming starstruck, but when I got the chance to hang out with Dan Acroyd for a day I was nervous as hell to meet him, the man was a Blues Brother!!!!!

I remember seeing this the first time. When SNL was funny.

Love those Blues Brothers.

Feel good music… legendary performance.

Probably the best assembled band of musicians ever. Prove me wrong, you can't.
