This is the of the blues I like. The artists of pop blues today is a style of the blues that I can’t stand. Bonamassa is a prime example.

I hate to say it, but the real stand outs here are Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Clapton’s pentatonic blues licks don’t quite work on ‘Why Has Love Got to Be So Sad.’ Do you agree?

Bob Dylan performed ‘North Country Blues’ only a handful of times in the '60s and one very drunken one in 1974. It’s hard to believe such a dark and mature song about a North England mining town was written by a twenty-two year old.
