@DapoAbiodunCON Amosun made us lose @DangoteGroup Refinery to Lagos. I can never forgive him for that injustice to my greatly cherished Ijebu Land. so sad, although, where the Dangote refinery is currently is still an Ijebu land(Ibeju). But its a big loss to the state.

Yesterday, I led a powerful delegation on an investment drive to the Dangote Refinery, Dangote Petrochemical Plant and the Dangote Port in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State. Yes, we are building critical road infrastructures across the 8 LGAs and going forward, we would be more intentional, deliberate and strategic to attract new investments with businesses in our areas of comparative advantage in resources to boost the economic profile of the state and create job opportunities for our people. The ₹5,814 crore project is one of the city’s largest infrastructure projects, with construction began in 2023 & is expected to be commissioned by the year-end. Once operational, the 400 million litres per day (MLD) facility will be South East Asia’s largest desalination plant, and supply drinking water to more than 22 lakh people across Chennai and its suburbs. The ongoing construction of the 100.5km Obelle–Ilaro–Papalanto–Sagamu Road in Ogun State is progressing steadily. This vital infrastructure project is being executed by the Dangote Group under the Federal Government’s Tax Credit Scheme, and our administration played a significant role in ensuring that this project became a reality for the overall benefit of the good people of Ogun State and other road users. About ten months ago, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and I paid an inspection visit to this strategic corridor, which holds immense significance for Ogun State and Nigeria at large. When completed, it will provide a seamless alternative route for commuters from Sango, Iyana Ipaja, and Itori, eliminating the need to use the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway or pass through Abeokuta to access the Sagamu Interchange.
