Heyo exciting news! Just released my react-native-godot library to the world! Available on npm, just `yarn add react-native-godot` and you’re (almost) good to go :) Basically, you can embed any Godot projects on iOS (Android coming soon) into your React Native app, It supports multiple Godot views at the same time, full styling (you get flex box multiple Godot views and update their layout dynamically) Still pretty early but I think it’s already enough to hack around with it. I built a full-stack Chat App to learn React Deeper. When I started, I only know the basics in React. I was hesitant at first if I would be able to do it or not, but I started building it anyways. Through building it, I have learned: - Typescript - Tailwind - Redux - Firebase - File Structuring - Optimization - More hooks The list could go on... The point is you don't need to know it all to start building something. Fundamentals are enough, you can figure out and learn the others on the way. i'm too stubborn to simply give up on the concept of Benji after almost 10 years(!!) of iterating on it with different stacks... 2018: graphql backend + react SPA 2019: made a react native app for 6 months 2020: gave up on it and wrote 3 years of using other bs tools and being grumpy about them 2023: rewrote it in blitz js (JUGE mistake) 2024: iterate on react native + PWA + RN pwa wrapper 2025: time for a rewrite to Zero To Shipped ⛴️ stack (but next js sucks for this kind of app, add api, mcp, cross platform app, and many other things 2026: i want it all actions INSTANT AND FAST AF and next js is the wrong tech choice for a mostly client app, so i'm starting a rewrite with TANSTACK + Convex + Better Auth it feels so snappy 😭 btw 99% of the customers abandoned it, there are like 3 ride or die fans but i know i can turn it around!!!! let /goal cook.

I always wondered "What if I port my three.js game to Rust? Will it improve performance?" I finally ported it to both Rust Desktop and Rust WASM (that runs on the browser) Comparing the three.js version with the Rust desktop I had a clear winner: Rust desktop. But now I took the time to port it to the web using Web Assembly (WASM) And my conclusion is... A tie! Both versions averaged 42FPS (60FPS if running one at a time) So if your goal is to ship a web game, it doesn't even matter the tech you use. (Three.js is recommended because the ecossystem is huge though) As long you optmize well (Web workers, reduce triangles, draw calls, etc) you should be good to go. But in the event you want to ship a native game to publish on Steam a system language (Rust, C++, etc) will be better for you. Now I want to port the three.js game to Desktop using Electron and see the results. I'll let you know. Btw, I'm open to new freelance projects. If you have anything for me, my DMs are open!

Got rejected by Apple on the first review. I fixed everything, resubmitted, and used the time to polish the product instead of waiting. Added smooth animations, improved water logging. Meanwhile, I spun up an AI influencer farm for TikTok, first warmed-up post hit 50K views. Rejection = free time to build distribution. Keep going 💪 Tech Stack: – No code mobile app builder: Rork AI – Mobile: React Native (Expo) – IDE: Cursor – Frontend: Next.js – Payment: RevenueCat – Backend: HonoJS (for my next app, I’ll go back to NestJS) – Database: Supabase – Infrastructure: Railway – AI API: OpenAI (dropping the tech stack here because someone always asks 😂)

Dear X Design Who thought replacing the native Android gallery with the Google Photos media picker was a good idea? 🤦‍♂️ On Galaxy phones, I expect the app to open Samsung Gallery, not Google Photos. Now I have to: ❌ Dig through folders every time ❌ Re-select the same folder for every new attachment ❌ Spend more time finding photos than actually posting This is a massive UX downgrade. Android isn't one-size-fits-all. Respect OEM gallery apps and use the native media picker instead. Samsung Members gets this right. I've attached a video showing the difference. Agree? Android vs. iOS app quality difference [Part 8] This one is about two highly-requested media apps: Spotify and Netflix. Netflix is miles better on iOS, but Spotify is about the same in my opinion because each version has one extra feature that's absent on the other. Netflix: - Netflix on iOS has a very modern design. Cool animations while logging in, and 3D parallax effect on the main title shown on the homepage. Nothing like this on the Android version. - You can use gestures to navigate the titles as shown in the video, and it's coupled with cool animations. Absent on the Android app. Spotify: - On the iOS app, you can use swipe up/down gestures to navigate between the mini-player and main music player UI. Can't do that on Android. - However, on the Android app, you can like a song directly from the notification panel - which is very useful. You can add a song you like to your Liked playlist directly without having to open the app. I believe this is on Apple alone, since they don't allow adding shortcuts like that to media player.
