today was the first time i was genuinely impressed with what AI can do i recently decided to buy a whole FPV drone setup knowing basically nothing about the hardware side of it there's a pretty steep learning curve even just to set everything up properly: radios, RF protocols, flight controllers, ESCs, firmware, batteries, goggles, betaflight configs etc as someone that spends essentially 12h a day prompting agents to build software, it's actually pretty rare that i interact with AI on something where i have zero idea what's going on under the hood, and i never really used it for debugging a bunch of physical devices that all have to talk to each other i had codex + voice mode open for basically the entire setup. told it everything i bought, sent it some pics and then just started talking to it >what order do i set all this up in >how do i change this setting on the radio >which of these cables do i use >the drone is flashing pink wat mean >can you make this thing less insane to fly in my apartment and it was surprisingly seamless it would go find the manual for whatever specific thing i was holding, tell me exactly which buttons to press, what port to plug something into, what i should see if it worked etc then when i got to configuring the actual drone i had codex running on the computer it was plugged into, so it could inspect the config, back everything up, change settings, send usb reboot signals and check what happened the insane thing about voice mode is that youre literally hands on with the hardware and just telling codex what it should do, i literally never touched a thing on the computer besides starting voice mode if something doesn't work you tell it what happened and keep going a few hours of this and i had the radio, goggles, charger, batteries, drone firmware and betaflight all set up and had actually flown the thing the part that stuck with me is that i also understood what most of it was doing by the end, every time there was a term or tech i didnt understand id just ask to explain there is something absolutely magical about having proper real time personalized assistance, being able to dump a pile of unfamiliar hardware on your desk and have something figure out exactly what you own and walk through it with you in real time you become the missing physical link pressing the buttons i think spending all day using coding agents has actually made me pretty numb to AI progress. every new model is a bit better at some benchmark or can oneshot some task that the previous one couldn't and you just kinda adjust to it this felt different mostly because i had no existing knowledge to fall back on for the first time the jarvis comparison didn't feel cringe ai for coding and general computer tasks is cool and all but this feels a lot closer to the endgame anyone should be able to just ask any question about whats going on in their life and have realtime support i wonder if more hardware products will actually start exposing some sort of MCP or interface for agents to plug into thinking for example of how elevators in china are increasingly built with interfaces that let delivery robots call them directly instead of having to physically press a button we might actually start seeing hardware design shift from being purely human-interface-first to also being agent-interface-first buttons, screens and menus exist because humans need some way to tell machines what to do. agents don't necessarily need any of that if the hardware exposes an interface directly very curious which side closes the physical world gap first: humanoid robots that can operate hardware designed for humans, or hardware adapting so agents can operate it directly

i analysed 1,000 TIKTOK slideshows for consumer apps... here's what i found something that change how you run your app/saas campaign since. most people assume the slideshow with the most views brings in the most installs. i tracked every metric i could pull across 1000+ posts. views, saves, comment sentiment, slide count, where the app got mentioned in the sequence, caption length, niche. the data told a different story. the highest converting slideshows rarely broke 100k views. some sat under 20k. meanwhile some of the viral ones with 2m+ views converted under 0.05%. viral and profitable are two different games. here's the pattern that separated the winners. the format was almost always: content, content, content, content, ad warmup, app push. 4 to 6 slides that feel like normal lifestyle or niche content, no mention of the app at all. then one slide near the end where the product shows up, framed as part of the story instead of an ad. apps that opened with the product on slide 1 underperformed almost every time. the accounts winning were disguising the app inside content people were already scrolling for anyway. travel aesthetics, interior inspiration, "things nobody tells you about x" hooks, niche opinions. the second pattern was volume, not virality. accounts running 8-10 tiktoks, posting 2x a day, same slide formats with fresh variations each time. 90% of posts stayed under 5k views, most even under 300. a handful hit 50k-500k. a rare one crossed 1m. the accounts winning weren't making one perfect post, they were running the format enough times that the algorithm found the winners for them. the workflow behind it, if you want to copy it: research first. search your niche on tiktok, screenshot every top slideshow, save the captions somewhere. this is the raw material for everything after. pull matching visuals from pinterest for each slide type in that screenshot pile. figure out what slide 1 looks like, slide 2, slide 3. download a handful per slide type. not everything from pinterest can be reposted as is. run it through an image api like openai or gemini to generate variations that keep the same vibe. 5 slide types x 100 variations gets you 500 usable images fast. feed the competitor captions into claude code and have it write new caption variations in that same tone, keep the early slides content only, drop the app in near the end. claude code can overlay the captions onto the images directly using ffmpeg, then hand scheduling off to a tool that allows accounts to post automatically without you touching them daily. set this up once and you get months of content queued across every account, running the same proven format with fresh visuals each time. the accounts losing were treating every post as a one off. the accounts winning built a system and let volume do the work.

i analysed 1,000 TIKTOK slideshows for consumer apps... here's what i found something that change how you run your app/saas campaign since. most people assume the slideshow with the most views brings in the most installs. i tracked every metric i could pull across 1000+ posts. views, saves, comment sentiment, slide count, where the app got mentioned in the sequence, caption length, niche. the data told a different story. the highest converting slideshows rarely broke 100k views. some sat under 20k. meanwhile some of the viral ones with 2m+ views converted under 0.05%. viral and profitable are two different games. here's the pattern that separated the winners. the format was almost always: content, content, content, content, ad warmup, app push. 4 to 6 slides that feel like normal lifestyle or niche content, no mention of the app at all. then one slide near the end where the product shows up, framed as part of the story instead of an ad. apps that opened with the product on slide 1 underperformed almost every time. the accounts winning were disguising the app inside content people were already scrolling for anyway. travel aesthetics, interior inspiration, "things nobody tells you about x" hooks, niche opinions. the second pattern was volume, not virality. accounts running 8-10 tiktoks, posting 2x a day, same slide formats with fresh variations each time. 90% of posts stayed under 5k views, most even under 300. a handful hit 50k-500k. a rare one crossed 1m. the accounts winning weren't making one perfect post, they were running the format enough times that the algorithm found the winners for them. the workflow behind it, if you want to copy it: research first. search your niche on tiktok, screenshot every top slideshow, save the captions somewhere. this is the raw material for everything after. pull matching visuals from pinterest for each slide type in that screenshot pile. figure out what slide 1 looks like, slide 2, slide 3. download a handful per slide type. not everything from pinterest can be reposted as is. run it through an image api like openai or gemini to generate variations that keep the same vibe. 5 slide types x 100 variations gets you 500 usable images fast. feed the competitor captions into claude code and have it write new caption variations in that same tone, keep the early slides content only, drop the app in near the end. claude code can overlay the captions onto the images directly using ffmpeg, then hand scheduling off to a tool that allows accounts to post automatically without you touching them daily. set this up once and you get months of content queued across every account, running the same proven format with fresh visuals each time. the accounts losing were treating every post as a one off. the accounts winning built a system and let volume do the work.

I just sold my startup Talknotes for $200,000 on acquire.com 💸🤯🤩💰🥳🎉 I launched it last August when I was looking for an idea I could grow with paid ads, and made a MVP in one week. For 6 months I woke up at 5 AM to catch Asian markets on Polymarket. During that time I lost my girlfriend, gained 8 kg, and got used to drinking coffee instead of breakfast Then I wrote an agent that monitors everything for me while I sleep. In the 1st month income went up 15% and I finally deleted the 5 AM alarm Turns out a half-asleep human trades worse than a 200-line script I thought discipline meant waking up early. In reality it was just stubbornness that cost me money and health. When I finally sat down to build the agent it became clear why Here is what is under the hood: 1. Sentiment analysis powered by Claude. Every 15 minutes the agent runs a feed from 40+ Asian sources: Reuters Asia, Nikkei, South China Morning Post, Yonhap 2. NLP tone classification. It compares sentiment shifts to open markets on Polymarket through the API, and if the news has already dropped but the odds have not reacted yet that is the entry window 3. Kelly criterion. A mathematical formula for position sizing instead of my usual "I will bet more, feeling lucky" 4. A hard stop at 5% of the deposit per trade so that 1 mistake cannot kill the entire account 5. A cooldown between entries so the agent does not stack up a cluster of correlated positions These are exactly the rules I was missing at 5 AM. I knew them perfectly well but consistently ignored them because on adrenaline and caffeine every bet felt like an "obvious opportunity" When I ran a backtest on my old trades it was genuinely painful: 60% of the bets I placed by hand in a half-asleep state would have been rejected by the agent for failing the expected value filter Those were the exact ones dragging the whole result down When I was building my agent I needed a benchmark. For the past few weeks I’ve been teaching 50+ kids how to create their own games with AI. The results have been incredible 🤯 I started with my 5 y/o nephew because I was worried about him spending hours doomscrolling and consuming brainrot content. He built his first game using v0, though I had to walk him through each step. Watching kids interact with these tools taught me so much about how they think, where they get stuck, and what keeps them motivated. The moment that really struck me came right after he finished that first game. Every time I saw him afterward, he’d run up and ask, “Did you bring your laptop so I can keep playing?”. For him, “playing” meant creating. That kind of excitement is organic pull. Don’t get me wrong, I love v0 and Lovable. They’re insanely powerful. Their UIs just aren’t designed for kids, and that’s totally fine. Kids still need guidance, structure, and a bit of tutoring to turn ideas into something playable. I’m seeing tech leaders push in this direction too, and I think there’s a real opportunity here (Matias Woloski Thomas Wolf). Kids are the future, and I don’t want to live in a world where they spend precious time consuming instead of creating. That’s why I love tools like v0, Lovable, wabi , Cursor . They’re empowering more people to become creators. I want that same feeling for kids. What Guillermo is saying is real. Kids need to be AI-literate from the outset. It honestly makes me sad to think about my nephew growing up and falling behind on AI and everything happening around him because he’s stuck in Roblox or TikTok. That’s why I built Rabbit 🐰 for him. It started as a simple prototype, but somehow I ended up talking with 200+ parents and kids, tech leaders, investors, and people I never imagined meeting around the world. Rabbit now has 100+ people on the waitlist, and 10 kids are using it two to three times per week on average to create their own games 🫡 I’m not sure yet if this will become my full-time project, but I deeply care about it.
