Live emergency update as I am about to activate storm chase mode for the #tornado threat that peaks Friday Louisiana into Mississippi. All hazards possible. We may see some nocturnal severe weather Thursday night with the lead system. The overall trough geometry is not favorable for a large-scale outbreak, but isolated significant severe weather possible Friday PM. Stay tuned!

Full-blown #tornado intercept mode is activated today by 4-5 pm west of St Louis! It only takes one tornado to cause major problems, so stay tuned to severe weather watches and warnings from Springfield to St Louis Missouri 4-11 pm. This upper-level low is way far south for this time if year, attributed largely to the Super El Nino cooking in the Pacific. This storm season may last until Christmas Eve. There are a lot of hamburgers on the griddle these days. Never stop chasing
