Border security is national security. Using a drone, Texas Military Dept. Staff Sgt. Christopher Vega detected five suspected traffickers near the southern border. CBP officers responded, apprehended the suspects and seized narcotics with an estimated street value of $60,000.

BREAKING: President Trump has signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum directing the U.S. military to take control of federal lands along the U.S.-Mexico border, including the Roosevelt Reservation, to completely secure the border. The memorandum, titled "Military Mission for Sealing the Southern Border of the United States and Repelling Invasions," was issued to the Secretaries of Defense, Interior, Agriculture, and Homeland Security. The Roosevelt Reservation is a 60-foot-wide strip of federal land established in 1907 by President Theodore Roosevelt, spanning roughly 700 miles along the southern border with Mexico.
