You might have seen some posts that Highguard runs at a fake in-game resolution, but its not exactly what you think. Steam User Captain_SmellyRat noticed this issue first by pointing out that if you set render scale at 100%,the game would still show 80% of the resolution in DLSS hud UI. So If you're playing at 1080p, the internal resolution would be 864p and If you don't change the default render scale (which seems to be always set to 75%) the final resolution would be 648p. However it turns out that the in-game resolution is changed in value directly from post-processing settings that you set. Post-processing quality settings would change the internal resolution as follows: Low - 80% of in-game resolution Medium - 90% of in-game resolution High - 100% of in-game resolution If you're playing at high settings, you will not notice the game looking blurry, but if you play at medium or low settings, the game will look extremely blurry even though you think you're playing at 1080p or 4k. I find it weird that post-processing quality directly affects the internal game resolution, but if you're playing the game and it looks blurry to you, make sure you set the post processing quality to high. Whenever this was intentional or not to achieve a higher FPS, I don't exactly know. However, I still think the developers should have clarified what each settings affects the game, which in this case here it directly affects the resolution.

Assassins Creed: Shadows PC Port is absolute garbage. I'm playing AC: Shadows both on Console and PC, unfortunately even if you have a high-end PC, the Game stutters on PC. This is most likely because of Denuvo and bad Optimization. The Frametime is so bad I can't even begin to describe it, I'm forced to turn Frame-Gen on just to have a smooth experience. Disabling Frame-Gen and even running this Game on the lowest possible settings still results in a sub-par experience. I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

Samson PC Performance test on RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM. I've set the settings everything on Ultra running at output resolution of 4K with FSR is set to quality and frame-gen is turned off. There are frametime issues and performance dips that I've honestly expected as this is an Unreal Engine 5 game, the AA implementation is also not that good either as the game looks a little bit blurry

In the same game, you will have different looking outputs for every different upscaler because these AI models wont be trained on the same data. Grace in this case here, will look different on an Nvidia GPU using DLSS 5, she will look different using FSR, PSSR or XeSS. You get the point I don't why but I always felt that DLSS was always supposed to provide only one thing, give gamers a better framerate while retaining the same image quality as native resolution. I don't want a randomized output for a character's face that I won't recognize if I turn on DLSS 5 even if my framerate triples. Nvidia and all the game studios embracing this AI slop should take a step back in my opinion because this is not it, even if it is years away.

Witcher 4 showcase in 2025 was only a tech demo, however if the real gameplay manages to have this level of fluidity as shown in this demo, then I'm confident that by the time Cyberpunk 2 comes out in the future, it will be the closest thing we'll get to a Rockstar Games level of fluidity, realism and gameplay in a modern open world game. I can't put it into words but if you've played Red Dead Redemption 2 and went on to play other AAA games, it always felt like those games were a step behind. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how much different Witcher 4 will look compared to the tech demo when it comes out in the future, it definitely looks promising.

The reason why Reflections in GTA 6 look noisy and blurry isn't because Rockstar Games doesn't know how to do them or that a $2 billion budget magically fixes this. It all comes down to the GPU in current gen consoles, these consoles don't have the power they need to render high resolution Ray Traced reflections in real-time and corners had to be cut. Here I'm running GTA 5 enhanced for PC at ultra settings to show you how good and clean the reflections look if you have high-end and recent hardware that have AI upscaling to make this possible. That being said, The PS5 Pro console is much more powerful compared to the base PS5 (the footage which GTA 6 was captured) offering higher resolution, 45% faster rendering, 2X-3X better Ray Tracing performance and PSSR upscaling. With the PS5 Pro, it will have significantly better looking and sharper reflections somewhat close to what GTA 5 Enhanced reflections look like on a gaming PC at high settings. However, the ultimate experience will still be on PC when GTA 6 launches, allowing for the highest quality Ray Tracing or even Path Tracing if Rockstar Games decides to implement it.

For a free to play gacha game, NTE looks quite impressive in terms of graphics at least, but holy shit does the UI and hud elements look horrendous. These icons would totally make sense if you're playing on a smartphone with a touchscreen, but on a PS5 Pro and a big display, these make no sense at all and just destroys the whole beauty that this game has to offer. You can clearly tell that the target audience for this game are mostly mobile gamers

Sharing this Godot quick tip for the new people trying to figure out how to mess with the game while it's running! ✨ (Thanks to Daniel Queiroz Porto and and Ian Williams for pointing this out) 1. Go to the Project Settings 2. Click "Advanced Settings" 3. In "Window" highlight "Always on Top" and create a new editor override for it by choosing "editor" from the list and clicking "Add" 4. Enable the new override you just added 5. Now when you run the scene (Ctrl+R) the window will always stay on top! 6. Press the Camera icon on top of the viewport to sync your editor camera to the game camera 7. Click on the "Remote" tab of the Scene panel. All of the changes you make to these objects will sync with your game in real time! Bonus Tip: You can make it switch to the "Remote" tab by default when you run the game if you go to Editor Settings (Ctrl+Comma) -> Network -> Debugger and click "Auto Switch to Remote Scene Tree"! #godottips

My full review and graphics settings comparison for Resonance: #APlagueTale Legacy should be up tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some first impressions from a technical standpoint: ✅The game does not use any form of Ray Tracing and relies purely on traditional rasterized techniques. but it still looks stunning thanks to its strong art direction and finely tuned lighting. ✅In general, the game isn't hard to run. Performance is solid, with a flat frame-time graph and no noticeable shader compilation stutters. ⚠️But there are some occasional traversal hitches when crossing certain streaming thresholds as the game loads the next area. these aren't frequent enough to be impacful but they can still be noticeable and distracting when they occur.

I tested out how The RX 9070 XT handles Path Tracing in Witcher 3 Remastered and it runs surprisingly well at 4K external resolution (FSR Performance and Frame-gen enabled) I'm definitely not going to play the game this way as the visual differences between Ray Tracing Ultra and Path Tracing are not that visible but if anyone has been wondering if it is possible to play the game like this, it certainly is. AMD 26.9.2 driver has just been released and The Witcher 3 Remastered graphical issues and artifacts have been fixed.

I have sympathy for Gen Z guys as it is harder than it was for us Millennials - not to sound like a Boomer - yet this flood of victim’s mentality is how men have turned into bitches. Yes the game is not as easy as it used to be - but when you have the wealth of information online that we Millennials barely had, with shifts in dynamics being talked about on the daily, it is like having the Bloomberg Terminals of mating data from people on the field (not some barely useful studies relying on self-disclosure). Not to mention the free content available on how to address the ever-changing dynamics. Us Millennials had what The Game from Neil Strauss, some RSD videos early in the early YT days, some underground blogs like Roosh V or that Suave stuff. Now you have everything on a plate. So if you choose to pick on the “Whoo Me” content to feel more vindicated in your situation rather than how to address the issue, imagine what it must be like for women dealing with your sorry ass. She does not give a fuck and she will think you are a loser, not because you are a virgin but because you are not doing anything to change how you think. The people on the internet will give you sympathy likes and you will feel temporarily validated. Great what next? But when I see a guy like that, not ugly, not out of shape struggling and complaining, if you don’t change the mindset, natural selection will take care of you. The choice of what you focus on will dictate your results. And if you are really down bad and don’t know where to look, then you must find a mentor that will show you the way, otherwise you will waste your time doom scrolling and feeling aimless. Yeah it will cost you, but if you don’t believe you are worth it, nobody will. You must have a leap of faith on yourself, and then that original action will lead you to manifest better outcomes. But if you believe you are a loser, guess what, you will always remain one.
