The coolest part of Microduck might not be the robot. It's how it learns to move. This repo shows the full reinforcement learning pipeline behind Microduck. The robot learns in simulation using MuJoCo, PPO and GPU-based training, then the trained policy is exported to ONNX and deployed on the real robot. But the real challenge is sim-to-real. The simulation models things like actuator behavior, battery voltage, command delays, friction and even gear backlash. That helps make the learned policy work when it moves from simulation to the physical robot. The repo includes policies for walking, fall recovery, sitting, standing, kicking, ground picking and even roller skating. Train in simulation. Test the behavior. Export the policy. Run it on a real robot.

I've added a new 3D smoke render mode to my #WebGPU Fluid Simulation. It's not an easy task to keep the best performance & quality when using a volume renderer on top of a fluid simulation, so lighting artifacts may appear if 3d enabled. Try it yourself!

The future is already here: Suzhou UniX AI’s wheeled humanoid robot is already autonomously picking items, packing orders, and fulfilling customer purchases made via Taobao’s Flash Buy app, right from a supermarket’s front warehouse. … then handed over to delivery riders. But if it’s delivered by something like the Unitree wheeled G1, then it’s a whole different game,the robot could handle the entire journey from warehouse to your door.

Packing chocolate pralines into a box with the delta robot. Unlike most robots, this one has a fixed TCP, and the base moves in response to vision data. To adjust the base, the vision system determines exactly where the praline is located on the conveyor belt. 🍫 Using this application, the system knows where each praline should be placed based on its orientation. A true engineering showcase!

Robots from Humanoid passed real factory test at Siemens! 😮‍💨 Humanoid from the UK just completed a successful proof of concept with Siemens, deploying their HMND 01 wheeled humanoid robot in a real working factory. The task was simple but important: pick totes from a storage stack, transport them to a conveyor, and place them at the pickup point for human operators. Repeat until the stack is empty. The robot achieved 60 tote moves per hour, handled two different tote sizes, ran autonomously for more than 30 minutes at a time, stayed operational for over eight hours, and maintained over 90% success rate on pick and place tasks. This matters because it's not a demo video. It's a real deployment in Siemens' Electronics Factory in Erlangen, handling actual production work, measured against real operational metrics. The test ran in two phases. First, Humanoid built a physical twin in-house to test and optimize the system. Then they deployed on-site at Siemens for two weeks, where the robot operated in the real production environment. We can see a wheeled humanoid robot in action!
