Both Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2 carts to not function until you update your Switch 2

The card has firmware on it that will update your system without needing the internet.

Heard people saying no internet is required at all. The firmware update to use the system is on the gamecards. I remember PlayStation consoles having firmware updates delivered on gamediscs as well.
