Bouaddi has Mainoo's composure on the ball but adds explosiveness, mobility and elite ball-winning which complements Mainoo perfectly. He's a more technical Declan Rice. Lille want to keep him 1 more szn. Ceiling is ridiculously high🎯✨️

Only issue here is who is the maestro passer from deep between the two of them. So valuable to have a diverse passing range from deep. Ofc if we get Bouaddi + Tchouameni that’s different

Man said You Bouaddi adds "explosiveness" lmao And I like the player but can we just watch 5 mins of the kid playing ball before just randomly using words to describe him

If #MUFC/Carrick decide a true ball-winning No.6 is the priority, Mamadou Sangaré should be high on the list. Relentless off the ball, dominates duels, covers huge ground and drives through midfield after recoveries. Complements the midfield perfectly.

João Gomes is one of the most complete midfielders #MUFC could realistically sign if the Ederson deal collapses. Elite ball-winning, relentless work rate, progressive carrying, composure under pressure & premier league proven. €40M is more than fair. Brazilian Kante...🎯🇧🇷✨️

Look at this sweet ball control from Ugarte, which led to our winning goal. Ball so far in the air, he reads it, takes it down perfectly, makes the backheel pass, and we're 2-1 up. But tacticos said he wasn't good on the ball 😭🤣 WHAT A PLAYER!! 🔥❤️

Lebron on Josh Giddey: "His knock was when he left OKC was his ability to shoot the ball. Now he's shooting the ball. You can't just sag off of him, you can't just lay off of him and dare him to shoot. He's actually shooting the ball at a high clip. Chicago has a really good player in him"

Fernando Mendoza | QB Strengths • High-level timing and rhythm passer who wins on anticipation • Comfortable throwing into tight windows without putting the ball in harm’s way • Elite decision maker who consistently stays ahead of the sticks • Calm operator who keeps the offense on schedule and avoids self-inflicted damage Question Marks • Physical ceiling is not elite by NFL standards • Arm talent is good, not special • Offensive structure leaned heavily on RPOs, screens, and defined reads • Limited exposure to full-field, NFL-style progression concepts Overall Take I’m higher than consensus here. Mendoza doesn’t have the raw physical ceiling of a typical top-five quarterback, but that’s not what defines NFL success. His processing, composure under pressure, and situational awareness consistently put him in control of games. Physically, he profiles similarly to Jared Goff, but the difference is how Mendoza handles stress. He’s more comfortable staring pressure down, more decisive when the pocket collapses, and more willing to live in structure without forcing hero ball. That combination gives him a higher functional ceiling than people want to admit. In the right environment, he can absolutely outperform his toolsy peers. NFL Projection Top-10 NFL QB by Year 3 NFL Comparison Jared Goff archetype, with better composure and effectiveness under pressure

Motherwell: Defensive Organisation & Pressing A lot of praise to the "With the Ball" work from Motherwell but not enough on them exceptional "Without the Ball": > Low-Block Distances & Defending (7 Cleansheets in 8 Games) > Ball Orientation & Locking Teams onto One Side > Jumping Into a High-Press Individually, Elijah Just is simply the most "Intelligent" Player without the ball in Scotland: > Reading of Passing Players > Scanning of Gaps Behind Him > Reading of Body Angles from Opposition Players Receiving > Intensity Pressing > Composure When Winning It A Wonderfully Organised Footballing Team 👏

🚨 Sergio Agüero erupts: "Messi has been robbed there is no player more deserving of the World Cup Golden Ball. 🗣️ Sergio Agüero For me, it's obvious. Lionel Messi deserves to win the World Cup Golden Ball. No player has influenced this tournament more than him. Every time Argentina needed a moment of magic, he delivered. Every attack, every important play, everything went through him. I have huge respect for Rodri because he's had an outstanding tournament, but Messi has simply done more. He's scored, created, led from the front and inspired an entire nation once again. That's what the Golden Ball is supposed to recognize. I don't understand how people keep saying Messi has robbed other players of awards. If anything, football has robbed Messi of individual honours he deserved over the years. This tournament is another example. No one deserves the World Cup Golden Ball more than Lionel Messi.

Asked Jordi Fernandez whether Egor Demin's dip in production is related to him playing more off the ball alongside Nolan Traore: "When Egor didn't play with Nolan, he played with Terrence, who brought the ball up a lot, and Egor was playing off the ball. With Nolan now, the way he's impacted the game and played pick and roll and his pace, has that affected Egor? Maybe... But Egor's a great shooter. He can play off the ball. He can play second side and get the ball. He had nine assists the other day. So it's about always finding a way. And obviously, he has to do it, and I have to help him get there. But I'm very happy with where both of them are, and both sharing the floor is a positive."

I think people have mistaken Xabi as an advocate for pure Pep ball. You only have to look at his games at Leverkusen and now Chelsea to know that’s not true. His style is more a combination of Klopp and Tuchel than Pep. High energy, forward passing, quick, but with a strong tactical set up and control. Giving freedom to attackers and getting them forward. Obviously it has the foundational principles of modern technical, possession football, but it’s not Pep ball. That’s why Alex Scott is the preferred midfield choice, and why Reece doesn’t have to be like Enzo. Enzo isn’t really a fit. Xabi ball is much more suited to Chelsea than City.

Want to make more 3,4 and 5 foot putts? It all starts with keep the ball on a straight line. Metal measuring stick: -$15 More 3,4,5 footers made: Free post round drinks when you win.

I'd be hard-pressed to find a more textbook block and recover than this. The ball is killed just slightly to his arm side, and he delivers the ball with plenty of time for Guillorme to put the tag on him.

Hugo Siquet is technically brilliant, positive with and without the ball in attacking areas. 51.69% defensive duels won which you would want to be higher but is a decent 1 v 1 defender. The reality is that you buy him for the attacking attributes and he’d be a massive upgrade.

ESPN's Tom Crean, OG Anunoby's college coach, on Jalen Brunson & Knicks offense: "In all honesty you can bring back Red Holzman, OK? If they don't throw the ball ahead & play more in transition…they gotta get away from 1 action 1 shot, I mean the ball has got to move. And that's Mike Brown's forte. But the end of the day as good as Jalen is, in my opinion he's a much better player when he's not only pushing the ball but where the ball's moving––because there's so many times where he's handling that everything's built to stop him because, it's not necessarily gonna be passed… "Jalen Brunson's so good that you really should never measure him based on his points, you measure him based on his efficiency, the ball moving ahead, getting offense. No matter what they've got to get better moving that ball from side to side, utilizing their players––they've got great wing runners, OG can get up the floor, Bridges, Hart, McBride––well those guys can also make plays in the halfcourt. And I think for them to take the next step Jalen's has almost got to get more off the ball catches, rather than drive it into the paint & everything starts & finishes with him"

Caleb Wilson has a LOT tools and a high ceiling. That said, he is raw and needs refinement on both ends of the ball. Good thing he is only 19!! Please stay long enough to know I am NOT down on him, but there is a learning curve that I am confident he will speed through. The highlights speak volumes, but the lowlights do as well!! What a draft!! #calebwilson #nbadraft #basketballanalysis #basketball #tarheels

The reason Ruben Amorin needed “legs or ground eater” was because he never believed in players playing close to one another and keeping the ball for a long time. We often launched the ball to our strikers to beat press, he did the same at Sporting CP with Gyokeres and that caused our team needing to run so much because when we lose the second ball, we were in trouble.. It’s more about athleticism to him than techniques.. He never wanted players that are comfortable on the ball instead he likes players that can pick long passes so they can move the ball as quickly forward as possible and that’s why he never rated Mainoo.. Now Carrick has a different approach to football which is for players to play close to one another, take regulated and calculated risk instead of throwing the ball in the air at every chance which limits his need for “ground eaters” and increases his needs for actual ballers, guys that are comfortable on the ball and know how to pass it at the same time.

🗣 "When we have the ball - make the field as BIG AS POSSIBLE" This was a principle that I used to coach when we had the ball, however is it more optimal to attack with a more compact offensive structure? Why? ⚽️ Shorter distances on passes = Quicker ball speed = higher tempo ⚽️ Optimal conditions to utilise 2/3 player core moves/combos to create unbalance vs compact defences ⚽️ More compact offensive structures allow for better conditions to regain the ball quickly This example is based on situations using a 1-3-4-2-1 formation which is my preference for its natural central numerical structure against a 1-4-4-2 formation.

A characteristic of the best putters in the world is they tend to keep more focus on the hole while setting up. Just as a basketball player or QB focus on their target and not the ball, looking at the hole more than the ball or putter head can help a golfer with alignment and speed control. 🎥: Golf Level 3

Gonzaga's Mario Saint-Supery showed why he's got a chance to have a big sophomore leap vs Denmark today The 6-4 Spanish guard went for 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals on 6-10 FG and 3-6 from deep in just 17 minutes of action MSS had a nice freshman season at Gonzaga, and with more on-ball responsibilities a big jump could project him favorably for NBA Teams next season He became a bit more of a off-ball player last season as the year progressed but again has so much on-ball juice as a playmaker and has grown as a shooter, but must find his at the rim footing again.
