In India, many a times chemical-free means free chemicals at no extra cost. Replace the word chemical with sugar/oil/salt/artificial flavours etc, the result remains the same.

Buy kirana from your local kiranawala. He has been buying from the same wholesalers for decades - he knows which are good ones & which are fake/adulterated

I go as far as I could to ensure I am eating unadulterated food. I ask my local bhuja shop guy to prepare separately for me without adding color (he innocentaly accepts that he adds good quality food color).

You are dumb as the blink it officials who cannot respond. The chana is always roasted in turmeric powder which changes the color. There is a non turmeric roasted chana also available in market. These are traditional things.

Cashew nuts you soak. You get starch. Any brand. It's original brown colour would come out.

It’s auramine O adulteration. Whenever there’s an extra yellow hue and a crumbly texture in roasted chana, it usually points to it. Better avoid packaged ones, go for local or homemade.

Wholefarm is the worst food brand selling duplicate products. They sell at low cost, and give lowest grade products. I bought indrayani rice from them, and the smell went away a while after opening the packet. It had no fragrance or texture like the indrayani rice.

This looks like turmeric powder or salted haldi water used during roasting. Many traditional roasted chana batches do this for flavor and color. When black currents r soaked it leaves purple colour and makes water sweet to drink it is a natural colour same goes with roasted Chana may times turmeric and salt is added while roasting can’t say much on this brand though

Bhai this yellow dye is called Auramine.. It is adulterated in chana, dals etc. It causes bladder cancer

Chutiya get it checked with a laboratory. Turmeric powder is yellow and you cannot wash it off in one go. Chuityas everywhere
