“Boys Don’t Cry” by The Cure was released 47 years ago today.

the ultimate post punk anthem! the coolest fact is that robert smith wrote "boys don't cry" about the toxic societal pressures on young boys to hide their true emotions and never weep. timeless 1979 masterpiece 🎸💔🔥

one of those songs that just remains timeless and super infectious

Those magenta washes are practically installation art. The Cure live had to be electric.

1979 was such a special year in music. Especially for post-punk New Wave.

Mi crush de la adolescencia ❤️
