Initially, Anne Hathaway and Mark Wahlberg were going to star in "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012). Anne Hathaway left the project as she had some creative differences with David O. Russell. Jennifer Lawrence, who replaced her auditioned for the role through Skype. By her own admission, she is terrible when it comes to auditions. She rehearsed for the tryout with her brother playing opposite her. Jennifer Lawrence was nervous due to audition being done online. She said “Well, as I am the least technologically inclined person ever, I was definitely anxious about doing the audition over Skype; I had never done anything like it before. Luckily, David started by having me jog in place alone in my apartment, which somehow helped ease some of the initial awkwardness, and we were able to jump right into the audition.” Once the audition started, she adds, “I actually found it to be more fun and interactive than going on tape, and I was happy that David was able to be involved.
