[Explained] They can now only transfuse blood component like; white cells, red cells, plasma or platelets; if only a persons conscience carries it. Members are still not allowed to transfuse full blood. What this simply means is: If a JW member is ill and needs blood, medical practitioners will identify the particular blood component they need and transfuse that one, entirely at the patient’s conviction. She had refused blood transfusions proposed as part of her treatment, in accordance with her faith, despite Twitter NG donating ₦30 million towards her treatment. 3-months later, JW reoriented is 9m+ members that blood transfusion is allowed, but it has to be your own stored blood. This blood transfusion policy was introduced in 1945 by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. But it didn’t forbid blood transfusions, until 1950’s when the church banned it totally and then 1961 when they officially made blood transfusion a punishable offense. — disfellowship, ostracism, expulsion from the church. But apparently revised it in the 2000 WatchTower. Now twitter is wondering if Aunty Esther’s fate would have been different if this adjustment was made earlier. This is a crazy case of a nurse who was arrest arrested for refusing to take a blood sample of an unconscious patient and hand it over to the Salt Lake City, police. The unconscious patient was hit by a suspected felon during a police chase. The felon hit the truck driver, putting him in an unconscious state in the hospital. The police wanted a blood sample from him. The nurse rightfully under orders from her superiors, and the law cannot just turn over the blood sample without consent from the patient or a warrant.. The police had no such warrant. She even had her hospital administrator sticking up for her, but she was arrested anyway. If she had turned over that blood sample, she would've lost her job as a nurse, and probably her license. In this case, I do not think she was hindering an investigation. My question is why didn't the cops get a warrant? They couldn't have a judge sign off on one? If you were this nurse, what would you have done? It's a terrible position for her to be put in.!!

That is why some patients are refusing standard inventory, delaying surgery, or going into shock rather than take it. This is not complicated: 1. Allow directed donations from known unvaccinated donors 2. Permit private “vax-free” blood banks 3. Add an optional checkbox on donor forms 4. Screen for spike/mRNA if the science ever gets done Patient autonomy and informed consent still apply when the product is blood. Blood is supposed to save lives, not become another flashpoint where people feel they have no choice.

The University of Utah Hospital became the site of confrontation about the Fourth Amendment and the limits of police authority. Registered nurse Alex Wubbels was forcibly arrested by Salt Lake City Police Detective Jeff Payne after she refused to allow an illegal blood draw on an unconscious patient. The patient was an off-duty truck driver who had been involved in a head-on collision with a suspect fleeing from police. He was admitted to the hospital in a comatose state. Detective Payne sought the blood sample to check for illicit substances, despite the patient being a victim in the crash, not the suspect. Wubbels remained calm and presented the officer with the hospital's written policy—which had been agreed upon by the police department itself. She informed him that per the U.S. Supreme Court, a blood draw requires: A warrant. Patient consent. The patient to be under arrest. Since none of these conditions were met, Wubbels refused to comply. Detective Payne responded by manhandling her, placing her in handcuffs, and dragging her to a patrol car while she screamed for help. While outside Detective Payne yelled at Wubbels saying how long he was doing this and how he knows the law. Detective Jeff Payne was fired from the Salt Lake City Police Department following an internal investigation. Lt. James Tracy, Payne’s supervisor who ordered the arrest, was demoted. Legal Settlement: Alex Wubbels received a $1.5 million settlement from Salt Lake City and the University of Utah.
