Eye witness and student Akash Pathak says, "Calling them students, in my opinion, would be a very bad thing, given the indecency they displayed, the way they are abusing journalists based on caste, and the way they are raising slogans against Brahminism. The way they have mistreated a woman Brahmin journalist and the kind of atmosphere they have created—in my opinion, they are not students at all.
