In 2010, Apple asked NDTV to build a mobile app. NDTV wasn't interested. Apple suggested they have the app developed by Robosoft. Robosoft offered to build the app for free. They told NDTV that if the app proved successful from a business perspective, they should give a 25% revenue share to Robosoft. NDTV had nothing to lose and agreed to it. Robosoft had one condition: when the app launched, it should display 'Developed by Robosoft'. NDTV readily agreed to that as well, and that's how the first news app from India went live on an app store. All business decision-makers owned an iPhone back then, and NDTV was the only news app available. It so happened that all those decision-makers suddenly discovered Robosoft and started exploring the company for building their own apps, and at zero customer acquisition cost (CAC), Robosoft built hundreds of apps! Have you seen this browser feature in GitHub Copilot app? I just stumbled across it - didn't realize it could do this! 🌟 1️⃣ Had it generate some code based on a plan 2️⃣ Once done, it automatically launched the front-end server and backend APIs 3️⃣ It launched the browser canvas in the app 4️⃣ It then loaded pages, searched for products, and clicked through the app all the way to the checkout screen to verify the features were implemented correctly. What!?🤯 First time I've seen that. Normally I'd have to write Playwright tests but it verified it's work automatically. 🚀

I have been trying Indian Map Solution Mappls for a few weeks now. Some of the features are brilliant: - Speed Breaker, Sharp Curves, Black Spot Alerts - Clear Directions at Junctions - Lag has reduced greatly Few Improvement points: - If we take a different route, it takes at least 20 - 30 seconds to reroute. This needs to be sharper and quicker. - Somehow I was expecting the Traffic Signal Indicator to work. Is it live? - Lags should be even lesser, in my view. - Picture in Picture is not working well. Not able to enable it, when I minimize the app on Android. - I have a Blaupunkt car display + dashcam system, with Android. But I am not able to install the Map. I get an app called Navimap, which has a lot of issues. Any other alternatives? I am open to showing these issues to the team, if needed. I am sure the app will get Sharper & better with time. This right here is exactly what I felt when I tried switching my main phone from iPhone to Android last year. The apps on Android are so bad they don’t even feel like they’re made for your phone. Plus many apps on Android simply lack a lot of features compared to iOS. For example, on WhatsApp on iOS, I can quickly swipe left on a message in a group chat to see which members have received and/or read my message. On Android, it takes a long press and 2 additional taps to access the same info. This was such a deal breaker for me who’s in a lot of group chats.
