I am never trusting Babbage with my bags. BRC100 should be considered for BRC100 apps. You really don't need to migrate your entire bags to BRC100. If you want to use BRC100 apps, just open a BRC100 wallet and send a couple dollars worth of BSV to try BRC100 out. Never ever trust a centralized entity - that does not run pure open source code - with all of your coins. Stay safe, don't migrate.

It’s not malicious, but you’re right that it’s unnecessary. Some people really hate that scanning, indexing and serving data is necessary for certain security and UX decisions. I believe that pure P2P/SPV and a server/client model are both necessary.

@Deadbeat1000 Well it’s a life choice. But agreed there is no need. If you want BRC100 compatibility then just start a new wallet. That said there are different users and use cases for ElectrumSV and certainly for those wallets which are small daily wallets this option would be appreciated.

@ProjectBabbage Jyst, it is not your wallet, it is mine. And in your model, you are a single failure point. I need resilience, options should a wallet type go down. It is serving users. I encourage Electrum to offer equivalent metanet wallet recovery. Interoperability would be even better.

Users deserve choice, and all the code is public for anyone to inspect. And do as they so choose.

I hope you will remove ElectrumSV from your list. This is harming the ecosystem. The Electrum project does not want user to do foolish things with their private keys. Mind your own business and your own project and leave others alone.

There could be BRC100 apps I don't know about though.

I help many people with E. wallets, your able to have your public, private and master keys, and the ability to recover your own coins. The responsibility should be on you to keep your keys safe. And they even said before the clip ended that they are not responsible for lost coins
