Aw! Special spot! I lived just down the way from there as a wee little lass! On a special road called Yankee Folly Road. This was the early and mid 1970’s. New Paltz was so cool then!! My mom used to rock climb with some of the greats. I would hang out at the base and drink the fresh mountain waiter from a tin cup tied to a rock.

That place looks fake and was in a tv show called Upload that my wife and I liked. It’s so beautiful that we didn’t think it was real and never bothered to look it up. I show this post to her and we both got pumped up that it’s real because we’re now definitely going one day. Thanks for sharing!

Mohonk’s a fab place. All three of their sons (Laura) were very talented cyclists and raced with our team. Spent many times there, esp racing up that hill. Gorgeous place to run, gravel, climb and hike.
