Thank you OldSturbridgeVillage for inviting us to experience Redcoats & Rebels in celebration of America’s 250th. We spent the day walking through the village, talking with soldiers, townspeople, and craftspeople, shopping the old-fashioned markets, bringing home beautiful wool yarn, and watching Harry try the stocks and walk on stilts. Then the fifes and drums started, the soldiers marched into the fields, and the muskets and cannons brought the American Revolution to life right in front of us. It was exciting, educational, wholesome, and one of the most memorable family days we have ever had. We left with an even greater appreciation for the history, craftsmanship, courage, and sacrifice that helped build this country. Happy 250th, America. 🇺🇸
