Ukraine has announced the first combat use of its domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. President Zelensky is now calling for faster production of the missile, which has a range of 200 km and can carry a 200 kg warhead. Despite the ongoing war with Russia, Ukraine has continued expanding its domestic defense industry with support from European countries. The FP-7 could be used against high-value Russian targets including energy facilities with more destructive power than loitering munitions. Its ballistic trajectory could also make it difficult for some air-defense systems to intercept.

🚀🇺🇦 Ukraine’s Fire Point FP-7 tactical ballistic missile has been used in combat for the first time, President Zelenskyy confirmed today. Just hours earlier, three powerful explosions were reported at a chemical plant in Russia’s Moscow region, although Zelenskyy has not disclosed what the FP-7 struck. But please feel the significance of this moment: Ukraine, a country under constant Russian missile attacks, has managed to develop, test, and now use its own domestically produced ballistic missile in combat. That takes Ukraine’s military technology to a completely different level. Putin began his full-scale invasion promising to “demilitarize” Ukraine. Instead, Ukraine has expanded its domestic weapons production and developed capabilities that did not exist at this scale before 2022. And today is especially symbolic. 🇺🇦 October 1 is the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine – and having stronger instruments to defend the country is quite a present. Share to spread the news and follow for more updates. 🔥💙💛 #StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsCollapsing #MakeRussiaSmallAgain

Key statements by chief designer of Fire Point company Denys Shtilerman Denys Shtilierman on the Ukrainian FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles: ▪️ The FP-7 ballistic missile will soon be tested against targets in Russia. ▪️ A clone of the S-300 missile has been developed for existing launchers. After integration with radar systems - a complex process - it could form the basis of an anti-ballistic shield under the Freya project. ▪️ The missiles are cheaper than the original S-300 due to simplification and the use of new manufacturing technologies. ▪️ The missile can also be used as a cheaper analogue of ATACMS. This is how the FP-7 missile with a range of up to 300 km, depending on the warhead, was developed. ▪️ The FP-7 warhead is expected to be larger than that of ATACMS, while the missile itself will cost 2.5 times less. ▪️ The developers say they are ready to produce as many FP-7 missiles as ordered. Unlike Flamingo, which currently faces engine production issues, FP-7 has no manufacturing bottlenecks. ▪️ Combat use of the FP-7 is expected to begin before summer. ▪️ The longer-range FP-9 ballistic missile is also intended, among other things, for strikes on Moscow - according to the developers, attacks on provincial targets do not impress Russia’s top leadership. ▪️ Tests of the FP-9 are expected to begin in early summer. The engine is currently being finalized. The missile’s range is up to 800 km. ▪️ FP-9 will be difficult to intercept: the speed of the Iskander-M is about 800 m/s, while FP-9 is expected to reach 1200 m/s. ▪️ The goal is for 25% of the missiles to penetrate Moscow’s air defenses and hit their targets. Cruise missiles and drones cannot reach targets in Moscow because they are intercepted. ▪️ Our luck is that in Russia the cost of missile production is inflated several times over because of theft.

‼️ Ukraine’s Fire Point company says it is moving to the next stage of testing its new FP-7 ballistic missile, including test strikes against targets in Russia. Chief designer of Fire Point company Denys Shtilierman Denys Shtilierman on the FP-7 ballistic missile: ▪️ FP-7 is an analog of the American ATACMS missile, but costs about half as much; ▪️ Range: up to 300 km, depending on the weight of the warhead; ▪️ The missile, based on the 48N6 used in the S-400 air defense system, features a modernized airframe and new electronics; ▪️ The launcher is simplified and built on a standard trailer, allowing for quick launches and easier concealment of the system; ▪️ Fire Point manufactures all components itself - from engines to the flight controller - while the warhead is manufactured externally on order; ▪️ Production begins even before official codification in order to avoid delays in the number of units produced. The company is also developing a new FP-9 ballistic missile with a range of up to 850 km, which would allow Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia that were previously out of reach. 📹: Channel 24

Every Russian defense facility that serves the war against Ukraine is a just target for our long-range sanctions. Last night, FP-5 Flamingo missiles successfully struck the Titan-Barrikady facility in Volgograd. It is a major industrial complex where the enemy produces artillery systems and specialized military equipment, including components for missile launch systems used in attacks against our people. Confirmed strikes were followed by a fire on the plant's premises. I thank the warriors of our Defense Forces for their precision. The reach of Ukraine's long-range sanctions continues to expand. And it is precisely our pressure, day after day, that lays the groundwork for a dignified peace in the end. I am grateful to every Ukrainian engineer and warrior who is making our long-range capabilities possible. Glory to Ukraine!

New video of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 strikes on multiple radars and air-defense systems in Krasnodar Krai, in southern Russia 🇷🇺 These strikes on air-defense, coupled with the previous campaign in southern Ukraine and Crimea are opening gaps for long-range strikes against the Russian economy/refineries in the southern part of the country. If the US were to allow Ukraine to use Starlink over Russia, numerous air-defense systems, radars, and Iskander missiles would be threatened by operator-controlled Ukrainian FP-1/2 drones, mainly in border regions.

🚀Ukraine has tested a unique and secret super-weapon that reportedly has no equivalent in the world yet The company Fire Point (the same one that produces long-range drones and the “Flamingo” missile) has successfully carried out the first tests of a new anti-aircraft missile, the FP-7.x. It is the core of a future air defense system with the symbolic name “Freya,” designed to intercept Russian ballistic missiles such as “Iskanders” and “Kinzhal” missiles, as well as swarms of drones. The key feature is the cost. The Ukrainian missile is expected to cost around $700,000, compared to nearly $4 million for the American Patriot interceptor — more than five times cheaper. If everything goes according to plan, Ukraine may reduce its reliance on scarce interceptor missiles supplied by the United States. However, experts note that the new system cannot fully replace Patriot systems for now — it would rather significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

Russia promised India that it would deliver two more S-400 air defense systems. Russia and India signed a contract for almost $5,5 billion in 2018 for Russia to deliver five systems by the end of 2023. The first three systems have been delivered, but the delivery of the remaining two has been delayed by Russia's war against Ukraine. Now Russia promises to deliver one S-400 system in 2026, and the next one in 2027. It is reported that the S-400 system was used during the operation against Pakistan.

❗️Three Russian Tor missile systems were destroyed by Ukrainian Magyar Birds in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region. FP-2 combat drone was used for the strike. It is designed for middle strikes and has a 60 kg warhead. Russian army sustained about $75 million loss, and, even more importantly, this is a strike on the part of Russian air defense that causes a lot of problems for our Defenders. Glory!

For the first time, Ukraine 🇺🇦 is expanding mid-range strikes (with video feed) deep into Russian 🇷🇺 territory Dozens of strikes hit air-defense systems, radars and aircrafts in southern Russia. Strikes in 2026 against air-defense and radars damaged or destroyed more than 250 assets, including modern air-defense systems, jammers, and radars. Most of the fixed radars in Crimea have been hit, together with tens of air-defense systems in southern and eastern occupied Ukraine. With Starlink connexion, Ukrainian FP-2 drones (the main ones being used for these strikes) can reach anywhere in occupied Ukraine, but also in the black sea and in coastal areas of Russia. However, this is the first time we see video feed of strikes against airbases and air-defense systems in Russia, where Starlink cannot be used. There are few possibilities that could allow these strikes, with the use of a MESH system with repeater drones to keep connectivity or maybe something new. With precise strikes now targeting Voronezh, Rostov oblast and Krasnodar Kraï, Russia is now facing new difficulties. The destruction of multiple radars which guard the borders between occupied Ukraine (where Starlink can be used) and southern Russia can open new gaps for long range strikes targeting energy infrastructure and industry in southern Russia. For Ukraine, this may open the way to the targeting of Iskander and S-400 missile launchers close to the border in Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod oblast which are used to target Kyiv (Kyiv is barely within range).
