This is my Grandaughter's school (she is safe but distraught) A man was trying to kidnap his child. He shot a para pro and a 9-year-old girl (the girl is believed to be alive at this time) Several kids were unaccounted for because it happened as kids were being dismissed, and parents and others grabbed the kids they could and put them in classrooms. School is still on lockdown and the shooter is loose.

Base loudspeakers are broadcasting the following emergency alert: 'An active shooter incident is occurring on the installation. Avoid all outdoor areas. If the active shooter is in your building or nearby, lock the door.'A Fort Cavazos spokesperson confirmed, 'There was an incident on the installation, and we are working to gather more information.' Base officials have also confirmed that the gates are sealed, soldiers are under full lockdown, and the situation is currently under investigation.
