This Lyft driver was watching a show on her phone with earbuds in her ears while driving this mother and daughter. When the mother asked her if she was watching a show the driver told her she was just listening to it. When she informed her that it is against the law to drive with earbuds (it is the driver turned it around on her and started yelling at her saying that when passengers listen to or watch videos it is distracting and dangerous to the driver. She pulled over and made them get out. Lyft responded to the mother and daughter. “We're so sorry to hear what happened during this ride and can't imagine how you're both feeling. We're working with our safety team to review this further and will have someone reach out to you asap.” The mother and daughter also called the police. These young ladies were out having a good time, they were invited by an event planner. While inside, they noticed that some men kept coming up and pestering them and offering to buy them drinks. They planned on going to another bar, when they went outside the same men followed them outside. As soon as that happened, a woman came up to them, she looked worried and came up to them and pretended to be a friend of theirs that they haven’t seen in a long time. When they were out of ear shot of the men, she leaned in and told them what was going on. She invited them to go and hang out with her crowd so they could leave safely through the back.
