A retired FBI agent used that antisemitic slur in my company 2 months ago, not knowing I was Jewish. She, a Trump supporter was of the same opinion as County Commissioner Sam Parker. I informed her otherwise. It’s always the Republicans who are discovered to be bigots.

I think it’s hard for younger people to understand how common racist phrases were in the 50s -80s. Sometimes a phrase from my childhood pops into my head & I’m horrified to realize the ACTUAL context. That said, this guy should have acknowledged his mistake & sincerely apologized

I’ve heard that term all my life and was told it was actually a compliment to the receiver of the words because they were able to negotiate the best deal. This was based on Jewish people making a purchase situation work out to their favor.

Regardless of party affiliation (because there are anti-Semites in ALL major political parties) - how on earth is "Jew you down" anything BUT an ethnic slur referring to the Jewish community??? Call it out EVERYWHERE.

As a Jew, I like to bargain. But so do others. Why target Jews as the holders of bargaining, unless you are stereotyping them. This is exactly what he's doing.
