This isn’t surprising anymore. You could walk into almost any university and get the same response. A big reason they hold to it is because of accreditation. Both regional/national and program accreditation. We need to eliminate DEi in accreditation. Example from social workers.

When I was a corporate employee I changed my race and gender on the HR website. That alters the compliance database and achieves diversity w/o discrimination. By law they could not question my self-ID and employee totals were submitted to EEOC annually for enforcement, etc.

One BIG problem with anything the govt tries to do to stop this type of behavior is that there are no penalties. Get congress to eliminate DEI from it's budget and support for Unis and include felony charges for those who violate that. But don't hold your breath for that fantasy.
