Armed men in tactical gear, guns drawn on U.S. citizens, no warrant shown, refusing to identify themselves. This isn’t law enforcement. This is exactly what happens when DHS and ICE are given carte blanche to treat the Fourth Amendment like a suggestion and the American people like suspects in their own country. Whether these are actual agents or some contractor cosplay squad enabled by Trump’s deportation machine, the message is the same: due process is optional, accountability is for suckers, and the Constitution is just another piece of paper they can ignore. DHS—your move. Explain this thuggery or own it. Because this isn’t America. This is authoritarian cosplay with real guns and real consequences.

This is precisely why DHS agents NEED to wear badges with officer numbers if not names. There were reports last year of people assaulted by people impersonating ICE agents. The vests that say POLICE can be purchased by anyone. DHS & Republicans protest that DOXXING is too great of a risk to expect that DHS agents be forced to adhere the same rules as regular law enforcement, but Americans continue to be put at risk bc of DHS’s lawlessness & lack of accountability. The snowflakes can have guns & murder American citizens & non-citizens with impunity, but it is too much for us to expect that they not be able to do so anonymously

🚨BREAKING: (CHICAGO SUBURBS) ICE agents pulled a GUN, and a TASER, on unarmed U.S. citizens for recording them from a public sidewalk… while threatening, “you aren’t going to like the outcome.” In the video, legal observers are standing on a public sidewalk recording ICE agents. The agents stop, get out of their cars, and approach THEM. One agent has his GUN drawn, another has his TASER drawn. The agents tell the legal observers to stop following them. A U.S. citizen responds: “We aren’t doing anything illegal. It’s totally legal to follow you.” He is correct. The First Amendment protects the right to record law enforcement, and federal agents, carrying out their duties in public. And federal regulations specifically recognize that people can record publicly accessible federal activity from public sidewalks, and streets, when they aren’t impeding or disrupting operations. Not a drag queen. Not a trans woman. A BORDER PATROL agent… drunk, armed, and completely out of control… was the one wandering into the women’s restroom, in Long Beach, California. He left his firearm and ammunition clip sitting on the sink. And when a woman went to wash her hands, he slid the gun and clip into his waistband, called her “sweetie,” and asked her out… all while intoxicated. When security told him to leave, he didn’t. He stumbled around the parking lot with his gun. He tried to toss the gun behind a palm tree as officers pulled up. When they moved in to arrest him, he fought them, injuring one officer during the struggle. And as shown in the body cam footage, the police found his gun was loaded. This is the pattern: ICE and Border Patrol agents are pulling guns on unarmed civilians on duty… and now we’re watching them get drunk, invade women’s bathrooms with their guns, wander public spaces armed, and assault responding police, while they are off duty. (And let’s not forget drunk driving as well.) These agents aren’t “protecting communities.” They’re endangering them… on and off the job. And people still wonder why businesses are turning them away?
