Journalism doesn't rest on association with a specific organization. It is gathering facts, teasing out stories that may not be known, reporting on issues of public interest etc. In my opinion, Nick doesn't gather facts - he tries to BE the story by going where he isn't welcome and hoping something happens to him. Once or twice, it might be journalism, but by the 10th or 12th time, I believe it's simply performative and he's just trying to gin up a crowd (who frankly should know better than to engage with him).
