Law enforcement agencies say they are ready for Tuesday’s planned protests. The right to protest peacefully is protected by the Constitution and must be respected. However, there should be zero tolerance for criminality. Anyone who uses the protests as an excuse to loot, intimidate, destroy property, or incite violence must face the full might of the law. Peaceful protest is a constitutional right; lawlessness is not.

Now Abhijeet Dipke is crying because Sonam Wangchuk was carried away from the CJP protest in a bedsheet. He says Sonam should have been taken to the hospital with dignity, but the reality is that he was taken on a stretcher anyway. The only difference is that he was brought down from the stage using a bedsheet. And if Abhijeet Dipke was really that concerned about Sonam Wangchuk, he should have sat on the fast himself.
