Edmund Rivers, 66, faces multiple counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault for alleged crimes committed between 1996 and 2004 against boys aged 7 to 14. Authorities say Rivers exploited the children’s vulnerabilities and threatened to sedate them to keep them silent. The victims first came forward through a civil lawsuit against the hospital. The suspect is now in custody with bond set at $500,000.
