Cooper’s official X account from when he was governor (Governor Josh Stein) was not archived and was instead taken over by Josh Stein, leading users to see Stein’s name next to Cooper’s old posts. One of the posts covered up by this dirty trick is a 2018 X post from Cooper announcing that he is pulling North Carolina National Guard members from the border, with Cooper even signing the post “RC.” However, despite the Democrats’ best efforts to cover up Cooper abandoning and opposing President Trump’s secure border mission, the Democrat Governors Association still has a clip up on their YouTube page highlighting a local North Carolina news report about Cooper pulling troops from the border. In the news clip, Cooper’s remarks to reporters implied that North Carolinians’ safety was not affected by open borders.

With this said, it is likely that Republicans will attempt to override the veto. Cooper stated: "This bill has nothing to do with making women safer, and everything to do with banning their reproductive freedom." I stand with Cooper on this decision and feel that access to abortions should be between a woman and her doctor. Everyone's situation is different and their beliefs are as well. The government should not determine when or if a woman should be able to have a procedure. I am completely against using abortion as a form of birth control, but I am even more against government deciding what women can and can not do. Thoughts?

He kicks it not once, but TWICE, directly towards the feet of people trying to get away. And then, he casually turns around and walks away. He was in no danger. The people were not blocking any agents. They weren’t even near the street. And he purposely walked out of his way, towards the people who were walking AWAY from him, to kick a chemical weapon at them. This isn’t just reckless… it’s illegal. Under federal and state law, intentionally using a chemical irritant to harm or intimidate civilians is assault. Beyond assault, this is reckless endangerment and excessive use of force, which violates both constitutional protections and civil statutes. AND he did this in a park, right next to a playground.
