India has rejected Pakistan's move to make Gilgit-Baltistan its fifth province. 🇮🇳 Responding to the reports, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are an integral part of India. He added that Pakistan has no right to change the status of these territories, which remain under its illegal occupation, and should vacate the areas it occupies. Pakistan can pass resolutions or change administrative status, but it cannot change India's claim over these territories. India position remains clear, the entire Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir, including Gilgit-Baltistan, belongs to India. After NYT referred to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as "Pakistani Kashmir," India responded unequivocally: "These territories were, are and will continue to be part of India. We urge stakeholders to reflect the correct nomenclature." There is no "Pakistani Kashmir." Repeating inaccurate terminology only legitimises Pakistan's illegal occupation. Geography isn't a matter of opinion and neither is India's sovereignty. 🇮🇳
