If the Scumbags wanted a long lasting peace all they need to do is leave sovereign Ukrainian territory.

Only 2 ways this conflict ends, Ukraine gives in to Russia's ridiculous demands or Russia are defeated, militarily or economically, hopefully both. Ukraine only wins once Trump is out of office because he is a duplicitous, malignant, cowardly despot, just like his pal Putin.

Long lasting peace is very easy, it's starts with Russia declaring a ceasefire and GETTING THE FUCK OUT OF UKRAINE! Simple!

Not sure how many times they have to say this Russia is not looking for a ceasefire, but a long-lasting peace. Seems Alastair Cooke understands the rest play deaf

Trump must take tough action against Putin for breaking this agreement.

Russia wants to kill as many civilians as possible. And the US is looking for a way to pay for these killings.

The world we live in today… An energy ceasefire appears possible, yet a ceasefire to protect innocent civilians remains elusive. Barrels over bodies eh…

My Catholic Statement on this: Talk of lasting peace means little while civilian power still burns. May every negotiation put the vulnerable first, and may God turn strategy into mercy before winter deepens the wound.

So you have 2 nations that talk out of their arses, But at least Russia has said they don't want a energy ceasefire, But saying they want long lasting peace, is just BS. because if Russia wants long lasting peace then take your troops out of Ukraine and end the war Simple.

A lasting peace is what the world needs, but the path to achieving it must begin with concrete actions, not just statements. Continued discussions between Russia and the United States could create an opportunity for progress, but Ukraine's security and sovereignty must also be central to any meaningful agreement. An energy ceasefire could be an important first step toward reducing civilian suffering and rebuilding trust. The real question is whether all parties are prepared to make genuine compromises, respect their commitments, and turn diplomatic contacts into results. The world has seen enough destruction; now it needs a credible path toward peace that prevents this war from continuing indefinitely. 🕊️🌍

Contacts continuing is better than nothing I guess… but “we want lasting peace not a ceasefire” still feels pretty vague.

Russia wants lasting peace, just not the inconvenient part where it stops bombing Ukraine. Apparently, peace is something everyone else must agree to while Moscow keeps shooting.

Honestly this reads like Russia is happy to chat about Trump’s energy idea as long as nothing actually pauses the fighting. Long-lasting peace sounds great until you notice the timeline is always “someday.”
